I've been neglecting this for far too long...
May 16th was my birthday! I'm finally 18! *dances* Here's my entry from my DA account, recycled for here:
"I am kind of nervous about actually going in to school. See, my school has this attendance system called SWIPE. You have to swipe a card in one of the four stations we have. Teachers will record you as ';present' or 'absent' in their classes as well, and if you swiped in in the morning but are marked absent by one of your teachers it plays loud music and prints out a paper for you.
Yeah, I didn't skip any classes, but it also has your birthday in it with your other information. And it plays the birthday song when you swipe in on your birthday. And there are a lot of kids in that hall when I get there. And all of them will be staring at me. And I hate being the center of attention.
But yeah, after that I'll be okay because I'm going to Chili's with a bunch of friends, having birthday cupcakes instead of cake (and senior cuppycakes from Gretchen and afterwards we're going to go see Prince Caspian. It'll be tons of fun! So...yeah...
EDIT: My friends are THE best. I got a couple of gift cards, a $20 bill, some shiny jewelry (earrings and two necklaces), Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness, a rubberband gun (I kid you not) complete with ammo, a shonen-ai manga called 'Invisible Boy' by Hotaru Odagiri, and they all bought me fake flowers from our nearby AC Moore and I was carrying around a massive bouquet into the movies.
Prince Caspian was AMAZING. Nothing like the book that I remember, but I haven't read it in years so I could be wrong. But still cool. Centaurs are <3<3<3 and there's this adorable little kid one. Fauns can jump like wow but are still not as cool as Tumnus. Caspian himself is okay, but looks kinda 'meh' towards the end when he exchanges his normal clothes for Narnian clothing. And OLD MAN RIVER goes "om nom nom"(see the movie and you'll know what I'm talking about)."
Also (And for the end of this entry I apologize to agentnein in advance if by any chance he ever happens to read this, because not only do I love the game Psychonauts, but I do mildly fangirl (over him and others, nonetheless). Which I don't find likely, him reading this that is, but still I try to not be an obnoxious fangirl and in this case I had to let out a bit of the obnoxious to truly express my joy.):
"So yeah, last night was my senior prom. It was quite fun, actually. I got up at 6 or so and began to pack, since I headed out for my friend's house (Katie). From there we (me and three friends and one of their boyfriends) went to get our hair and nails done (except the boyfriend, we just dragged him along). I'm still wearing the obnoxious fake nails (Except the right pinky finger nail, which I bit the tip off of) and I hate them. The hairstylist didn't get my hair quite how I wanted it, but I managed to salvage it into another idea, but just recently (after three shampoos) got all the hairspray out. My dress was really pretty, a lavender color with beaded flower designs on it and some draping. So there will be pictures eventually. And drawings.
So now comes the "guess what" part. GUESS WHAT GAME I JUST ORDERED OFF EBAY?! A little late, but I kept forgetting I wanted it, and now I can't find it in any stores.
Give up? PSYCHONAUTS! Oh my gods, I can't even wait to get it! I wanna play it so bad. I'm already drawing fanart for it, specifically for Raz, Fred, Crispin, Sasha, and Loboto. Mostly Fred, though. Damn them, they're awesome. But anyway, once I get the game and play through a bit I'll post my fanarts. Don't even know why I'm bothering to get it though, I've watched most of the cutscenes on YouTube. XD"
