i wish i would have come up with this myself

Isn't it fascinating that we always ask questions like this?
"What is the meaning of life?"
"Why am I here?"
"How can I be happy?"
The questions themselves are never any comfort, because we, in all our curiousity, can never be happy with only questions and in this way are separated from all other animals.
The deer does not ask why the river flows or the hunter strikes. The bugs do not ask why the pollen must be spread for life to exist. Only human beings could ask a question such as, "How can I exist?" or, "What is life?". Perhaps the only answer is in the question itself.
Yet what is life but the processing of a sensory input by the brain to produce a reality? And if our minds are capable enough to create a reality without any input at all, as it is inour dreams, then how can we know we are not dreaming now? How do we know that we shall not awake somewhere else, in another time, in another life entirely?
The important thing is not the answer, because life is not about answers but about the fact that we can even ask questions.
A man once asked me, in Spanish, the only question worth asking: "Por que?" (Why?)
I answered him with a smile, knowing that in asking, he may never find his answer.
"Porque." (Because.)
The question is the answer is the question. And if you're confused, then you may have finally begun to awaken.
