Ok, so that article basically says how Bush is "temporarily suspending environmental rules on gasoline". Now the oil companies don't have to put ethanol in the gas and don't have to meet air pollution requirements.
Oh wonderful idea Mr. President! Oil companies are hiking up the prices because they can! And no one will or can stop them because they're the biggest most powerful corporations in the world! I really don't think you need to make it easier on them by lightening up on environmental regulations. Do you really think the money they (the oil companies) are saving is going to get passed on to us, the helpless consumer? Hell no! These companies have made waaaaay more profit (pure cream off the top, not counting the money they spend on producing oil) than ever ever EVER before. Suspending environmental rules on gasoline is going to accomplish one thing and one thing only. More pollution. Thanks a lot.
