*sighs* I hate idiots . . . particularly when I'm related to them

Ok, so I was checking my e-mail when I noticed this one from my father. He said, and I quote, "This is where you want to go back to?  Thought you would enjoy this. Love, Dad"  Below was this link:  http://www.tothepointnews.com/content/view/3231/85 . I followed it and found one of those stupid "Let's trash China and the Olympics because our economy sucks and theirs is starting not to suck so much!" articles.

I rolled my eyes, decided to go through the painful process of reading it, and turned to the bottom of the screen, where there was a Youtube video that was supposed to show you the "horror" of living in China because of all the young crazy people taking over or some crap like that. I turn it on, and it's a video of people cramming onto a train and not exactly the straight, orderly line that we Americans love so much.  "Oh China!" I thought to myself, "How I miss you and your craziness!" Then, all of a sudden, the conductors get behind the people, say something really quick, and start pushing the people in. "Wait a minute . .. what did that guy just say? Was that . .. JAPANESE?!?!?!?!" I then look at the people more closely. "Wait a minute, everyone's wearing dress clothes and looking all professional-like. This can't possibly be China. Let me listen to it one more time!" Sure enough, it was indeed Japanese. The IDIOT who wrote this article trashing a country he's never even seen and obviously knows nothing about (as shown by the fact that he/she can't even distinguish between Japanese and Chinese, which sound NOTHING alike . . . I could kind of understand having a little bit of a hard time at first with Japanese and Korean . . . but JAPANESE and CHINESE . . . no one who knows anything about East Asia would ever say that they sound remotely alike), decided to TRASH it without a SINGLE fact or reference of any kind, and the one thing that remotely resembled a source wasn't even about the right fucking country (although, to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if that did happen on occasion in China, just because the subway was sometimes really crowded).

But it's the principle of the thing. If you write something, you should have some integrity and *gasp* know something about what you're talking about before you flap your trap and insult someone's country. So I wrote my father back and told him he's an idiot and not to ever trust that source ever again because they're idiots (although I said it much nicer than that). *sighs* When will it end?!?!?!

Lol, I've been listening to "Rule Brittania" . . . I have to admit, it's a lot cooler than our gay patriotic songs. It almost makes me want to be English . . . but not really, :P .
