I was starting to get worried. See, I need 2 more 300-level classes in the Asian Studies department to graduate, and since ISIS said that there literally weren't any classes about Asia at the 300 level, I was starting to get worried and do something crazy like take a 300-level class off campus. But then the department sent out this e-mail saying that Wang Laoshi's class about "The Story of the Stone" was missing from ISIS for some reason, and since it's a 300-level class ABOUT CHINA I now no longer have to worry. Unfortunately, this means that I'm not going to be able to take the German Studies class about 19th century thought, but I think I'll just have to deal. I'm not so sure i feel like trekking to class on the bus twice a week. I've had far too much of that here . . . not that it's really THAT much of a pain . .. but still.
So this means that my class list will most likely be as follows:
Color Me German, 300-level German class
East Asian Politics, 200-level
Story of the Stone, 300-level
Either a Graduate-School Chinese Class at UMASS (which would defy the purpose of having no off campus classes) or an Independant Study with Gao Laoshi on . . . something Chinese, or perhaps a class on Chinese Film
