Das Leben in Leipzig
One of my roommates randomly showed up yesterday. Her name is Marie and she´s really nice. She´s studying at a Theater school to be a Dramatologist, which is someone who reads lots of plays and does lots of research into the text and then gets to chat with directors about their plays and tell them what they´re interpreting wrong. Basically it´s the job of awesomeness. She talks really fast, but surprisingly I´m understanding her, which is AWESOME!!!
Even though she´s here I am still internetless. Aparrantly we share the neighbour´s internet, but since they and Marie are all technologically clueless and I´m just germanically clueless finding the network key did not work. Normally it´s on the bottom of the router, but those codes didn´t work. They kept asking me if I´d called Kathi yet (one of my other roommates), so I´m assuming she´s the one who knows something about computers. Hopefully she can help me, because not having real internet SUCKS ASS!!!
I got the greatest compliment ever last night. Anh and her boyfriend came over to hang out randomly and I am totally in love w/ him. He´s Axel except funnier and younger. Anywho, when he met me he asked me where I come from and where I learned to speak German so well. I, of course, told him America, and he said, "Wow, you´re American? Wow, your accent´s really good! It´s not annoying like most American accents!" I nearly died from happiness. I´m really self conscious about my accent, mostly because I HATE American accents when people speak a foreign language. They just sound like you´re retarded. So KACHING!!! I am totally awesome!!
People keep insisting that I speak really good German, so I guess it´s true. ICH KANN DEUTSCH!!!!!!! Hoorah!
I´m so excited for when Katherine and Sammy get here. I need friends that I can talk to without thinking.
