Dwelling Alterations
Sooo...I know I should buy a house, but I like where I'm at and let's face it, I'm lazy. I would like to reduce my expenses, however. My landlord has come up with a 'great' idea and is going to be chopping up my home. OK, I know it's not my home, but if it were, I would NEVER do this to this beautiful house!! Anyway, she is going to build a vestibule in the front entryway and build walls to break up the front area of the house - the part I called the 'guest suite' and live there. Yup - herself. However, as much as it pains me to see this house marred in this way, I can't say much because a) it's not my house and b) I have actually had far fewer guests than I thought I would so it's the one part of the house I don't use much (except the guest bathroom, which is another story). This will come with a reduction in rent and utilities which I PLAN to use to save for a down payment on my own place.
In the meantime, what else is there to do but throw a Pre-Construction Party!!! I am currently looking at the first two weekends in August for this shindig. So, mark your calendars. The mistress of meat will be manning (or womaning?)the grill and there will be Pimm's! And you can meet my new beau. Details to come following my vacation next week.
