On A Sober Note

Wait. Stop the presses! Can it be? Is everyone's favorite Cheshire Cat actually posting while sober? Sadly.... yes.

Just thought I'd post a bit about the weekend. The IRON show rocked. The crowd was small but energetic, and the spirits of the boys were high. So we put on a great show, and had fun. That's what it's all about. Nobody should get into pro wrestling to be rich, they should do it because they love it, and have fun doing it. Yeah some nights it's just too taxing, and that sucks, but there will always be off nights. People ask why I would be a part of pro wrestling, and believe me I know how it is viewed by a lot of society. The fact of the matter is, I love it. Its theatre of the utmost absurd. I also am aware that it goes against a lot of things I do hold dear, to some extent. Yes overall the business is sexist, reason number one I doubt I'll ever work anywhere but IRON, hell we have one of the top female wrestlers in the world, and she is one of the boys every bit as much as the male fighters. It is also a homophobic world, but that seems to be par for the course in American athletics. One of the reasons I always hated "jocks". My time in wrestling will be short, but I'm glad I've had these experiences, and am proud of the work I've done so far. This weekend my tag champions attacked their opponents before they could get to the ring. It was a bloody melee that was declared a no-contest before it could even start. I actually had to apply a hold on one of the opponents, while my guys double-teamed his partner (with aid of a plastic table, the only true casualty of the evening). I also got to do some good verbal sparring with their manager, my instructor from managers' class. So all in all, a great evening for me.
