One more fundraiser
A lot is going on, I know people are fund raising for Haiti, for Pakistan, for the Queensland flood. I come asking money for something else.
So why am I asking for money for something else, something that I personally will be donating to, because these court cases are important, because if a trans person can't get there document to match they have to come out as trans to everyone who needs those documents.
Every time you go for a job, or a flat, or when you get pulled over by police, or buy beer, you could be outed, a million little moments where your life is harder than it should be, and all this assumes that you don't meet anyone really bad, that the results of non matching paperwork are only annoying, not that you could be assaulted, refused accommodation, and refused work. Reality which are all too common.
