The weather is warm and sunny, and I'm feeling oddly energetic... in a weird, high-strung sort of way. Perhaps I should run around the block to make it go away!
Been busy, but productive. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel... I'll probably be able to graduate in a year with some creative management of time and space (or just summer school). Right now, I'm doing a lot of classroom observation and volunteer stuff for my practicum, and it's pretty awesome. When I started all this mess, I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy teaching all that much (hey, it's a living), but I think I'm really going to have a blast with it. As of now, the kids are fun, I have creative freedom in the classroom, and I have that strange sense of doing something good and worthwhile. Yay?
Got a few chances to go snowboarding this year, and I feel like I've gotten a lot better. At least I'm not afraid of the black diamond runs anymore! Now I need to go have my board waxed and get all the lovely gouges smoothed out of the bottom. There were a lot of rocks, you see.
And I finally got around to building a new computer. For those of you who care:
Motherboard,
processor,
video card, and
memory. Also, I bought and installed Windows Vista Ultimate (64 bit), and I've been messing around with it a little. I like it, I think. It's strange, but it's pretty. =P
So what was the first thing I did when I fired up this puppy? Installed and played Warcraft II, bitches! Orcs FTW!
...Al Gore is coming to my school. I feel the urge to attend and heckle him by screaming about Manbearpig. Is that bad?
