"Pray for Obama" followed by "Psalms 109:8" is bad enough.
The NIV version renders this verse as:
May his days be few; may another take his place of leadership.
KJV reads:
Let his days be few; and let another take his office.
The thing is, when we talk about someone's "days being few" we usually don't mean days in office, do we?
Made all the worse when one considers Psalms 109:9
(KJV) Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
(NIV) May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow.
It's called reading in context, people. I can't buy the argument that the Psalms 109:8 reference is to a lost election or even an impeachment.
Mind you, I like our President for the most part, though sometimes he disappoints me very much.
However, even if you do NOT like him, praying for his death is an incredibly messed-up thing to do.
...wtf is wrong with people?
bad religion,
wtf?,
