My brother Austin is playing in Chicago tonight at the Whistler with Night Shall Eat These Girls and Boys. Raise High the Roof Beams are also playing. I would definitely be going to get out of Michigan for a bit if my car were not terribly over-due for an oil change and I had a travel companion. Money is wearisome. So is being out of electricity in this heat and sleeping on my older brother's tiny couch. Even though I'd be sleeping on someone's stifling floor or couch in Chicago, it's the change of scenery that I need. I still can't get over the fact that I am actually settling in for another long haul here. Wild.
Austin also won this Romeo Film Festival because he is awesome.
