I have a job interview tomorrow. It’s weird because I just put in the resume’ on a whim. The job is for an on-site residential management team for self storage sheds. This particular job wanted a “team” to live on site and manage the store. I was putting in applications for my husband at jobs I thought he would like and would fit our time budget. And the lady actually called me back!!! It would be very interesting if we did get this job. The average pay of a residential manager for this area is $42,000 a year. Times that by 2 since my husband would be in on the deal and add on top of that my military pay, and we would be rolling….And, we would be working from “home” since we would be required to live on site, which means no day care for my son!!! Sounds too good to be true doesn’t it??? I agree and that’s why I am skeptical to think I would actually get the job. I am horrible at interviews, even when I think I do good, although my resume kicks ass…. I actually get to put this on it:
“Leads a six-person weather team supporting planning and execution of Air Force, Army, and Reserve Component air and ground operations throughout the northwestern US. Oversees employment of a $4M component of the Air Force Weather Weapon System to monitor current environmental conditions and develops forecasts for a 460K square-mile area, including one-fifth of the Western Air Defense Sector. Guides production of weather watches, warnings, and advisories for 20 AF and Army installations spread across five western states. Supervises the preparation and dissemination of two military operating area forecasts and 24-hour forecasts for six airfields, supporting aircrews operating over 330 aircraft worth more than $21B. Leads coordination with combat weather team forecasters at six locations to ensure meteorological consistency between the tactical and operational levels of war.”
Sounds pretty impressive doesn’t it. If I can do that, I can run a storage shed company, right? But we’ll see how it goes, and hopefully, I will get it, but I’m not holding my breath. It just sounds too good. Pretty much I would be doing paper work and my husband would be handling all the laborious details, and we would both be getting paid! I could definitely get used to that.
