That song sums up exactly how I feel! Thank the gods 2011 is over, and may 2012 be a damn sight better! (And may everything in Gaiman's blessing come to pass!)
Although, as the year ends, I have a Good Thing to remember it by: for the first time, I was able to join Nomad and quite a few of our old and new friends (and it's great to see people more than once a year!) for the holiday expedition through NYC - and R. came with me! Happy Hogmanay, and a glass of virtual champagne to you!

I'm very pleased that you made it to the NYC expedition. So pleased, that it will be worth mentioning in my gratitude journal. :D

I hope to see you among the herd-of-kittens next winter, too, on your brand-new knee! (Keeping a group of that size together and moving is like herding kittens... as Alex mentioned repeatedly.) Physically, I wound up aching and exhausted, and I made the last bit of the trip home on sheer willpower... but I did it. Perhaps next December I'll be even less out of shape. And, of course, the whole group knows enough to slow down for those of us who aren't quite as agile.

Happy New Year!
