Stuff 'n' stuff.

First order of business:

Yeah. Stop being true, graph. It's annoying.
I love you, kitty. I love your piles of vomit much less.

Second order of business:
It's really icy out. I went skidding sideways directly into traffic while taking a corner on my bike (even going much slower than usual). Thankfully, the nice pickup behind me was going slowly and managed to stop with a few feet to spare. Also, I am thankful that I have not ruined yet another pair of jeans, though I'm not sure about the socks yet (they may blossom with holes once they've gone through the wash).
Glad I'm OK, irritated by the terrible state of the roads.

Third order of business:
It's gonna be my birthday soon! No, I still haven't figured out what I want to do for it, probably throw a party. Still not a big fan of bars, sorry.
For any who wish, standard gift wish list is under the cut. For everybody else, I want a hug!

1. The biggies: There are two items that are on the top of my wishlist.
a. Zafu and zabuton for meditation. I've linked a typical item on Amazon, but there's always the problem of expensive shipping. Color preferences are my usual, red, black, and chocolate brown. http://www.amazon.com/Buckwheat-Zabuton-Meditation-Cushion-Black/dp/B000GOAEH4/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1234378922&sr=8-1
b. New Danskos, either Professional clog or one of the mary janes (Marcelle, Lotus or Sally) - black, brown, red, or dark blue.
EDIT: I wear a size 38 in European sizing

2. The less-expensive-but-still-not-cheap items: There are a couple things I want in this price range.
a. Laptop skin: I've got a 13" MacBook (not the unibody, the white plastic one), and I'd love to make it prettier. There are three I've been eyeing.

b. Upgraded slow cooker:

3. Awesome gifts for not much money:
a. Good tea, particularly interesting blends
b. Chocolate. I much prefer a small amount of really good chocolate to a larger amount of OK chocolate. Get me one really well-made truffle and I will be happy.
c. Scented candles. Not "bakery" scents (sugar cookie and the like), but most others are very nice. Cinnamon, incense-like, mixed floral, citrus. . .
d. New (to me) music - burned CDs are very inexpensive and much appreciated.
e. A letter or homemade card is definitely awesomesauce.

4. Things I love which are free:
a. Hugs.
b. Hugs.
c. Hugs.
d. A call or email (I don't have cell phone reception most days from 9 am - 6:30 pm PST, sorry)
e. Podcast recomendations
f. Book loans
g. Hugs.
h. Sharing loved pictures, poems, stories.
i. Hugs.
j. Hanging out and possibly kicking the butt of many digital baddies.
k. Hugs.
l. Hugs.

OK, for some of you, hugs are actually kind of expensive, giving the transportation costs to Seattle. So you should save them up and give them to me next time we're in the same ZIP code.

Much love,
-C
