happy valentine's day SJ !!!
i bought him a pair of badminton shoes few days ago
no surprise but oh well, something he needs at least
cause buying gifts for a guy... particularly SJ is kinda difficult..
cause he has everything !
came midnight and then SJ was harrasing me to open my gift
hehe i told him there's 2 more minute
he's been harassing me since 7pm on the eve of valentines before dinner
i said it wouldnt be special so i wanna wait till midnight !
i thought there wasnt any card but i saw it and it was so incredibly cuteeeee!!
it has shiny glitters around the elephant...
nicer effect which you cannot see from the picture
and next i opened the present
i honestly thought it was a laptop lap resting item
(i was eyeing on that item during christmas and thinking to put it into my wish list)
cause i dont know what else could have been this size from MPH.. i totally forgotten about boardgames
and i opende and i saw... !!!
yes i've always wanted this board game !!! but i never got to buy it
until few years ago when they changed the army pieces into like such below
(photo taken from
here)
(and here) ...
i was kinda sad... we searched for it for so long
SJ even searched for it in london, thailand, china... I told him to just give up
looking at it from ebay.. it's pretty exp as well and i just brushed the idea off...
but now yay !!!
my favourite game from long before.. MUACKS bf !!
the next morning we woke up at 8am, fed mochi and took him for a long long walk..
and played with him till he was so tired
wanted to tire ourselves too, we need to be hungry for our lunch
watched how i met your mother while we wait till 11am to leave for our buffet..
initially SJ booked us a table at KL Tower for a lunch buffet
i told him of my horrid experience when i ate there last time
everything was unedible, seriously, you couldnt even poke a roti canai with a fork
because it was hard as rock..
i googled and showed him long list of very very recent comments...
everyone stating any aunty at the road side can cook 1000 times better
so we decided on kl hilton instead.. i heard so much of hilton's buffet at sudu
good comments so we decided to give it a try
still i dare not expect much...
surprisingly not packed... maybe it's only packed on weekends ?
the choices werent that much
at the entrance, these seafoods were displayed
the clam was kinda gross to us
SJ said he heard that ppl mentioned if oysters were fresh,
they arent suppose to have black lines around them... this i'm not sure
he isnt either..
i moved on to the left
sushi.. not something that i fancy here too
i saw salmon but no one was there to serve me yet, so i came back later
on the furthur left... salad, some mini pastas... nothing very great
at the other end was lamb..
we shared one thin slice cause i was afraid it wouldnt be nice..
well a little tough.. when we ate...
and half way eating what i had on my plate, i saw the sushi guy arrive
SJ helped me to get some sushi and then i thought i'd join him
i saw salmon belly and i asked for 2 portions
i felt the other thing worth eating there was this
but you know.. i had better salmon belly.......
i really expected alot more from this buffet from what people commented
though i really did lower my expectations
i tried all their other small dishes like mutton(nice), cooked banana (kinda special),
rib eye (not so so tender), steak (just okay)
there was a pasta corner and SJ went to get some pasta
love how generous they were with the toppings, beef, etc etc
but the pasta over all was just alright
and finally when there was nothing else to try...
time for dessert !!!
on the far left, SJ discovereed something, and pulled me over
he said "your favourite !!! fondueeee" (actually it's chocolate fondant)
but yes there was also chocolate fondue at the right which i didnt manage to capture
nothing great, chocolate fountain which i actually didnt try...
back to the chocolate fondant story...
there wasnt much, but i said, lets try a bit first before i decide to take more
my plate filled with dessert..
the chocolate fondant.. filled with flowing hot thick chocolate from the inside...
was one of the best i ever had !!!
i ran back to grab 2 more (left 3 without chocolate inside ?!?!?!)
taste great with vanilla sauce too...
the other desserts on my plate ?
other than the other very yummy chocolate mousse.. the others were failure
that thin slice of so called cheese cake..
is not even cheese cake.. there's no cheese in it...
it was just a sponge cake grrr.....
i tried the ice-cream
i wonder why they dont have quality ice-creams... like Haagan Daz...
that'd i'd grab a whole lot...
but anyway... one of it which i tried was not bad
i cant remember what was it that.. i had now which means it wasnt memorable
and sadly i overloaded, i couldnt put in one more spoon of whatever in my mouth..
else i'd go back for more chocolate fondant... huhuhuhuuhu i crave that now
we both walked back into the car half dying
i wonder how he could drive, i couldnt move hahaa
and after we paid the parking ticket..RM12
(RM 7 per hour and RM 5 every hour.....)
we saw a board that wrote (lunch, meals RM8 for first 2 hours)
>:( !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .. overpaid RM5
ok not so happy.. means we over paid
and when we exit the car park
the beem was up !!!
>:(((( #@$#@%@%!@ overpaid RM12 !!!
but we forgotten about it the next minute
went home and grab mochi and took him for a car ride
we wanted to watch movies at the cinema but underworld 3 was all sold out or at a very early time
or a very late time
so planned to watch some movie at home and then play some video games
but thought we were kinda full and needed to get out
else we'd just sleep at home
happy mochi accompanying us run errands
we went to check on our new house... seeing if there were bills for us to pay
i learnt that goverment absorbs small usage and charges us nothing
for both electric bill and water bill
mochi exploring the house
guess he wont remember it the next time cause it's going to be different
running about and then it began to drizzle
see the tiny water drops on his coat ?
happy go lucky mochi ehhe
oh yeah we saw kittens in the house
mochi wanted to play with them, they knew fear..
and ran into the store room
they looked so cute..
after that we left and took another long car ride...
came home, watched real steel, ate spicy fried rice and then poker a little bit...
and had my present open ceremony =D
haha excited... the boardgame looks much prettier than the older versions
but the rules were different...
and the game play for exchange of men with cards now differ too... much lesser...
so we followed the new rule..
i missed out one point.. where you could add 3 men at every round
but more story on that later...
sj's red, laura's green and mine's yellow..
the game went on for a couple hour and finally i won !
with only one mission... to conquer 24 territories and i did it yay !
SJ said he wanna check out the rule book and make sure i didnt cheat him
and he found the 3 men where we should have added
and said i conned him 3 men
i said but we all have less 3 men every round as well..
but he insisted he wouldnt lose if he had that 3 men privilage..
and for the next few days (week even).. he calls me a 3 men conner in every way haha
example "good morning gf that con my 3 men"
or even anything unrelated in a sentence.. he would end it with 'ya la 3 men conner' -__________-
oh well, thats why i love him..
too many reasons why I love this silly person
how he would hold that piece of paper or tissue until he comes across a recycling bin for papers
how he would make my bed with the quilt very nicely... (even i dont do that)
sometimes placing my stuffed animals in such a way that would make me laugh
how he would always suit me when it comes to ordering food,
(even though he's really craving for something else)..
i find it adorable as well, to find someone who doesnt fancy alcohol..
we're meant to be in so many ways.. Happy Valentines !
(our first valentines alone this year, cause the first year, it fell on CNY, he was away in penang,
the 2nd valentines he had friends visit from johor so the whole day was spent bringing them around,
the 3rd... is great cause i had good quality time spent well with SJ)
