Bali - Day 1
Got up by 630 in the morning.. went to the office by 7am..
but the flight is only at 11am !!!
Yes, we're going Bali for our company trip weeeeeeee.. I havent been to bali so i am quite excited
had Mcds breakfast... they have grape jam !
(they dont have those in taipan branch or most of the others i go to)
yes i know it doesnt go with sausage mcmuffin but i took it anyways
and after mcds, while we walked to the gate.. i spotted chocolate lounge... grrrrrr
okay now i know where to go if ever i need to hang out at the LCCT airport
checked in and then went to the duty free shops
they dont have alot of chocolate choices actually..
the huge mentos is getting popular now
told dad to hold a lolly pop, i wanted to take a pic of him
he snatched my camera and pushed me there instead..
giant lolly pop... can feed a whole island of ants ahha
half the group walked to the wrong air plane..
we had to shout from afar to tell them...
this was the right one...
that stop button looks tempting to 'click'
i got all hyped up and excited when i saw the Krispy Kreme doughnuts on the menu
i told myself.. calm down ! and 'no no no'
when they served, right behind me where Mr Gan sits.. ordered a set
Mr Gan : you dont want to order cause scared F-A-T is it?
me : haha yes.....
haha and it was very nice of him to cut me a tiny bite of his peanut butter and chocolate glazed doughnut
one bite was all that was needed to make me a happy mousey hehehe.....
ahhh we have arrived !!!
we were welcomed with welcome flowers
and then brought to a restaurant famous for their soft bone chicken
like soft shell crab haha... but felt weird to me eating the bones
unlike the soft shell crab.. i actually enjoy eating the soft shells
mom looking all holiday like
and here we are, the soft bones chicken
it's nice indeed,...everything except the bones for me
those white crunchy things on top are cracker like.. goes well with the chicken
the flying fish, which was good too
no you cant eat the bones for this one...
mom ordered an avacado drink...
eww for me...
everything on the the menu looks good..
we ordered that too.. the duck.. we ordered everything on the left page
the duck i enjoyed very much too... this restaurant is a little pricey
so after our lunch, we checked in at the hotel
we stayed at the *Ramayana hotel*
it's rated 4 star and i thought it was pretty good
(except the breakfast buffet)
and they it was not located right beside the beach...
other than that, i thought it was good
welcome drinks... dont know what exactly it is but it was lemoney and refreshing
mom and i stole 3 glasses without their knowledge...
and soon after the 3rd glass, one of them came to me and asked if i wanted more
finally....... the room was ready
tada !!!
of course.. that's not my room...
the parents had the better room..
i shared a room with Sylvia...... 2 twin beds ... what do you expect ?
we have half hour more before the tour began
so i walked around the hotel
they have 2 swimming pools
this was the main one
and a bar by the side
the other pool was situated beside the breakfast buffet area
padi fields along the hotel walk way...
and fish ponds too...
a sign says
"pls feed the fishes only with food we provide"
the kois came running to me the minute they saw me
but once they realised i have nothing, they swam away
this one insist i give him something
so i gave him my chewing gum & curry puffs
our rooms werent facing the pool... hmph
our nicer rooms were given away.. oh well
it's alright i guess, since we only go back to the hotel to sleep
plenty of flower petal decorations around...
by the lobby... everyone was already waiting there
and since we were still waiting, i walked around somemore
showed dad this pretty tiled wall...
i like the wall texture

we set out the journey at 430pm
to Garuda Wisnu Kencana Park
in the bus... i like this building, probably the few which stand out
cause most of the buildings around arent modern looking
you know.. the bali wooden craved styles...
we reached Garuda Wisnu Kencana Park.
Mrs Wong, so adorable, bent down to the height of mom for a photo haha
we're here for the scenery, and performance...
the tour guide should explain to us on the characters and statues...
actually... i'm not too bothered =P
this one has gross "EYES"
i dont mean the eyes eyes... only fan would understand this ehhehee...

but it has a huge stomach... it's suppose to be pregnant... and it's damn tall !

so happy hahaha.... it was only for a split second
my 2nd shot was unsuccessful but i'm happy enough with the 1st shot taken ehehe
at 7pm we went into the theater area for their performance
majority of the performers are disabled, mostly deaf childrens
but they are able to dance to the music...
there's also someone to guide their movements with sign language at the front
then came the lion monster creature
then came the eagle like creature
and all the other huge creatures you saw previously in the photos and more
i quite like the music played at the background too
tada !
we had our dinner there...
while we ate, they did more performance and dances..
only that.. we were sitted in a room beside, so unless you want to check out the performances
you have to come outside the room...
the food wasnt good... i think any random restaurant is better than theirs
not that it wasnt good until it was unedible
but edible was all it was
after dinner, they dropped us off to the hotel
almost every one went to the disco/club
the parents went for spa
sylvia and i went shopping
the ripcurl there is cheaper than msia, i think it's the currency
i got myself a pair of comfy slippers for RM40 weeeeee
(actually i bought it the next day after thinking about it for so long ahha)
fancy shops around..
this one has water flowing down all over
this one's on the outside walk way
opposite Mooks where i bought myself a top for 40% off
you shall see it on the next post ;D
then we passed by this very interesting dessert place
my jaw dropped immediately, dragged sylvia across the road to check it out
ahhhhhhhhhh
"we must come back here tomorrow !!!!"
she very happily agreed too haha.. we were both super excited..
continued our walking... it was almost 10 plus now
most of the shops are closed..
which is why you see all restaurants now haha
as we were walking by the seafood restaurant, the man at the entrance invited us in
"Come in !" he says
"you dont have to eat or anything, just come in take photos.. no worries"
an offer i cannot reject hahaha..
so i went inside and took photos.. they're smart too you know..
see...... i'm promoting their restaurant now
they were smiling away while we took photos... poor mantis prawns though =(
the reason they're kept in bottles.. is because they would fight and kill each other
(it's what the lady in HK told me when i asked her)
crabby must be thinking "the poor things... how can i eat them now....."
ok for their good hospility, i'd promote them, seafood house, just 3 shops beside ramayana hotel =P
we stopped by the Kmart just beside our hotel, i bought lays for RM2.70 only !!!
so cheapppppp (it's the smaller bag but still !)
sylvia bought some nouggats and lemon water (i love love love that lemon water!! like addicted !)
happy with our buys.. we went back to the hotel, showered
and i made coffee even... it was 12am then... and then... suddenly it hit me
Cheryl : why dont we go have ice-cream now?? the night is still young anyways !
Sylvia : yeah why don't we !??!
Cheryl : haha yes !! so silly making coffee !!!!!!
so we hurried down and had a taste of the gelatos
nice place to sit in and relax....
sylvia ordered the mixed fruits.. which i was contemplating to or not..
i ended up with my passion fruit... very very happy with my choice
omg.. is like all the food is making me super happy today
the krispy kreme and now this haha... but really..... it made me super happy
(sigh, how easy it is to be pleased)
went back to the hotel and watched TV till we fell asleep
it's something i always do when i'm at hotels or on a holiday....
we were watching this 'caught on video' crime scenes... pretty interesting
