Good and bad things about the end of the football season

Good: Inter won something! Yay!

Bad: Javi’s mother died the next day :[

Good: Grandolfo’s hat-trick for Bari. Has anyone nicknamed him Gandalf yet? Right, I will: I was amazed by Gandalf’s hat-trick for Bari. (And next in Sentences I Thought I’d Never Read...)

Good: Udinese did indeed make it to the Champions League preliminaries! Thank God/Allah.

Bad: Despite an amazing season in which they did not lose a match until spring, Poli Timisoara did not win the Romanian league title.

Good: But they did finish second, thus qualifying for the Champions League preliminaries!

Bad: And were promptly found guilty of not paying their taxes and transfer fees. They have one appeal left on Thursday; if they lose that they will be relegated to the third division, and the whole of the first team will be sold. (Marian Iancu is an idiot.)

Good: Romania won a match for once!

Bad: But without Chivu, who retired from the national team. I know it makes sense, cos he was fed up of being injured and all, but I already miss him. :(

Good: Switzerland kept Eng-ger-land from winning the match at Wembley!

Bad: But Derdiyok injured his back, terrifying me because he looked badly hurt.

Yeah. Been a bit of a rollercoaster round here :{ I think I’ll hang on to the good bits and try to ignore the rest.

football, chivu, fc timisoara, this is not good at all, zanetti, amazing
