You know! I can't remember which part of Britain it was in, but there were people who were so unfamiliar with the "paed-" combination form that they assumed it only applied to child abusers. So when they saw a sign saying "Jane Smith: Paediatrician" or whatever, they attacked this person's house!

Yes, it was :( When so few child abusers are ever caught or punished, why on earth did they think that anyone would ever advertise the fact??... People are thick.
