I just came back from Pilates and I'm so excited, my new hairstylist called me and I am going in on Saturday at 1pm for a cut and color! Of course "in" is to her house - she's an Aveda-trained stylist who does cuts and color and she has just moved into the Embassy community in Beijing!! I used to always go to Dosha Aveda salon in Portland, and now I can even get that pampering in Beijing! Of course, I'll be paying Western prices for it, around $87, but it's worth it to me to turn my head over to someone I trust and who SPEAKS FLUENT ENGLISH. ;) (Unlike the last horrific experience I had at Eric's of Paris over in the Kerry Centre complex. Eesh! I'll never go back there again.)
So this Saturday morning, my Doctor will come to the house and do my weekly acupressure massage, and then I'll head over to my new stylist's house! She said she's looking forward to it, because I have long hair now and it's really getting heavy, so I'm going for something a little different, maybe up to the shoulders, something that will really give my hair a lot of wave and life and body... so she'll get to have fun doing a bit of a makeover on me! And now that my face is thinner, I'm not so hesitant about having that kind of a style.
(Random aside: I totally miss watching "What Not to Wear" (Stacey! Clinton!) and "Trading Spaces" / "While You Were Out" on TLC at home!)
