The thing I hate the MOST about teaching is the bureaucratic maze you have to traverse in order to get the TINIEST thing done.
For instance, I needed to get a temporary parking pass for my rental this morning (so I don't get a $25 fine).
I had to go to the prinicipal's secretary (and get reprimanded for leaving my pass in my car) => sent to J House Secretary (and get reprimanded for leaving my pass in my car) => sent to H House Secretary, who is covering for Some Other Lady who is covering the front desk (and get reprimanded for leaving my pass in my car) => sent to Some Other Lady at front desk who also reprimands me for leaving my pass, and tells me she can't leave the front desk for THIRTY SECONDS to walk to her desk and get the passes out, and just tells me "hopefully you won't get ticketed"... And then walk back to my classroom, write a sign to leave in my car window, get locked out and have to ask another teacher to let me back in, who reprimands me for leaving my pass in my car.
Is it Spring Break yet?
