Mmm, America.
It's that time of year again! July 4th is eight short days away, which means that I extend my annual invitation for you all to join me in Boston for Pops Goes the 4th. I'll be driving as usual, leaving sometime around 5am from my house. I'm definitely driving Meghan, so I've got three more spaces for anyone who's interested. I know there are more than five people going, but the driving isn't THAT bad. Getting there isn't a problem, and parking is relatively cheap (I recommend parking under Boston Common--it's only about $10 for the day and it's pretty close). There's also the T; you can drive to any number of stations and take the T into the city.
So come one and all! Bring a blanket, enough food for the day (you can buy it, but it's super expensive), and a book or games to keep us busy until the concert. I'll have a big tent for shade (or shelter from rain, should it be necessary) that should be big enough for about a dozen of us, but sunscreen is probably a good idea anyway. I'm so excited! It looks like this year will be the biggest crowd yet. So let me know if you want a seat in the Alicia-mobile, and I'll see you in Boston. :-)
