I haven't logged in to livejournal in for-eve-r!
There's been a lot going on here, and as always, whenever I have a lot going on I just let my journal go until I have time to come back to it.
I moved again. I'm now living back in my hometown and fixing up a little rental house so that my kids can move back in with me. I got a job down here that pays as much (base pay) as I was making in Atlanta, plus I get commission when I do well enough. For a while I was staying with a friend of mine out in the country and we only had dial-up Internet (the horror! the horror!) out there so I avoided LJ altogether. I know I have a lot of catching up to do and still need to post my Paris visit details! And I have to see what has been going on with all of you.
Some of you already know this from reading Gambit's journal...or maybe from talking to one of us. Joe and I broke up officially (again) on what would have been our 6 year anniversary together. We are still friends and talk every few days but things had gotten too difficult for us.
In other news, I'm still doing well in my classes, I am still getting really great grades and slowing inching towards the end of the line. I am set to graduate with a four year degree next fall!
My new job is in medical collections, something I have done before. Sometimes it's really difficult work, as people who tend to have a lot of medical bills are the least able to pay them. However this particular company has a *lot* of business and I have managed to hit commission every month so far. Hopefully that will continue - in collections, if you don't hit commission three months in a row, you're fired. It's not my ideal job, but it's doing what I need for now - paying the bills. I think by the end of the year the kids and I will be in a much better place financially. I'm also talking to the AGs office here (which is much more proactive than the one in Texas) to get some sort of support from the kids' "father".
I'll be working on those Paris posts again and posting some pictures as soon as I get the chance. Hopefully I'll get some pictures up of our new place, too. I got a new dinette set and living room set that I absolutely adore!
