So I spent all of last Thursday driving around doing grad school admission stuff. WAS SO TIRED BY THE END. And I hate parking in San Francisco. And especially Berkeley. The Bay Bridge being closed did not help either.
Anyway, it looks like I'm going to apply to Masters of Social Work programs at both San Francisco State University and University of California-Berkeley. I've picked these programs because they're both relatively local (I don't really want to move outside of the Bay Area), and because they both have concentrations in Administration and Planning. I just hope I can get into at least one...
At the Berekely information session they said that they look at your last 60 credits of school the most. The thing is, I spent my junior year in Japan. It was a really good experience and I got a lot out of it, but I wouldn't say those classes were as rigorous as my time at Oberlin >.> But since I ended up getting better grades there, I guess this is a good thing? I hope?
Oh, and a question...
I asked someone at work to write a letter of recommendation for me. They said I should write a draft, and then they would tweak and sign it. This seems to be pretty common practice these days, but is there a certain way I should go about this? It feels weird having to brag about myself...
