bandcamp+pictures+rain...oh my
Arrived at bandcamp friday at the bright and early time of 8:40. Apparently the so-called "band gods" didn't want us to practice outside, it was pouring so we all packed up our cars with people and moved pracitce out front to the band room. T'was an easy day. We got uniform bags and tags to stick our uniforms in. We learned parade routine*the cheesiest/easiest routine matt's ever taught us* and were informed by our principal that we were no longer allowed to practice in the big-hallway because our poles have been known to leave holes in the ceiling tiles. So we moved our practice outside, it had temporarily stopped raining, and learned 4 sets of routine, we have 2 more sets to learn and we're done with the opener.
Then we went inside at noon to get ready for our pictures. Colleen and I washed our hair at the school *in the sink* and got ready there. We were headed outside to the bleachers to take the full-band picture when it started raining. So we had to stand in the rain for the stand pictures, stand in the rain to be set and have the drill picture taken, and then of course, stand in the rain for the all-senior picture to be taken. Then headed inside to fix hair/makeup for individs.
Went home and had a lazy day. Kim rented thirteen, unbeknowing how triggery it would be for me, but I watched it anyway. the cutting scenes in my opinion were WAY exaggerated, but other than that the movie was ok. Went to bed around midnight cause I was tired as hell.
DCI is today, I have to be at school in 2 hours and 17 minutes. *bounces* YAY!
