so, Canada's environment minister John Baird felt that he was representing "what people think" when he attempted to block an international agreement to set a target of a 25-40% reduction in greenhouse gas by wealthy countries by the END of the next DECADE? That's just embarassing.
That Avaaz group, by the way, got 110,000 signatures in time for the presentation of the accord. In the end, despite opposition from Canada and the US, due to pressure from 160 or so other countries, the accord went through, which is a success.
