homecoming was soooo fun!!!! i don't think i've ever enjoyed a dance as much. i think it was because i'm finally happy and secure with my friends. that makes all the difference in the world. plus, sam and i had a good talk which cleared up some misunderstandings so i feel better about that situation also.
on a heavier note...
jim's family is coming out in the next month. i probably should explain that that isn't a good thing because he didn't want them here until the last possible moment. i'm excited to see them but the reason for their visit overshadows everything else.
jim's appearance is startling and i'm glad you guys haven't had to see it because it scares me and i'm more used to it. hes lost about 20 pounds and my mom shaved his head so he looks incredibly old, thin and weak.
the next few weeks will be very telling of the future because he told mom that if he doesn't start feeling better from chemo, then he is just not going to do treatment at all. which, needless to say, will drastically accelerate his disease.
