So it's the Monday after the big party, which turned out to be a moderately fabulous event.
We had a decent turnout with lots of great costumes. Lots of alcohol, lots of fun, some drama... But what's a party without drama? The only noted damages so far include the broken glass on the bar & the hole that Korey put in the wall.
Justin & I kicked everyone out around 4am (which technically was 3 with the time change) and called it a night. The house actually didn't end up trashed so I didn't have much to do yesterday to clean up.
In other news, I attended my cousin Chad's wedding on Saturday. It was very sweet & very romantic but the minister just RAMBLED on. I kept thinking "come ON preacher man, before people fall asleep!" He just talked about things that were irrelevant & he made a huge production of it all. My Uncle Joel & I kept rolling our eyes at each other. Believe me, when it's my turn to get married, I'll be holding auditions for the person who gets to officiate the cermony. If only I had a "Joey" (think Friends) in my life. Someone I could tell what to say. At least I'm not planning a wedding anytime soon. Anyway - Chad hugged & thanked me for coming & I was GONE before we could even blow bubbles at the bride & groom. But I am happy for them; Chad & Michelle were high school sweethearts & you can just tell they love each other SO much. They're each other's match. It's so sweet.
I saw the kids at the bus stop playing in the leaves this morning. And instead of being annoyed, it made me smile. It was just so innocent & fun & I wished I had a chance to stop with my camera. They just looked happy. At another bus stop I saw a witch & a mummy getting on. It made me actually laugh - the mummy was great - he could barely walk in his costume. It really made me miss elementary school - things were SO much simpler then. I remember how exciting it was to wear my Halloween costume to school & pass candy around. Maybe I will go to the store to pass candy to trick or treaters tonight. I had planned on hiding in the house until it was over but maybe... I can be nice :)
Justin took me on a date last night :) We went & saw DOOM & stopped at Meijer & got dinner @ LJS. It was really pleasant. The movie was lame but we still had a good time. It's so nice that things are finally settling; we move on Saturday & I can't WAIT. The new apartment is really a good change for us - I'm not 100% on it but I really like the community & the location. And the SIZE of the place is great. Hopefully we can actually stay at this apartment a while. I don't want to move again until it's into MY house. Hopefully that's before my 25th birthday. Justin is convinced he'll be done with one of his degrees in April so that's a good start. Things with us are really good & his parents were really happy & his mom told me she's so glad I'm back. I've already been invited home for Christmas & I'm really looking forward to it. Hopefully my family figures out what they want to do.
I guess that's it for now. Alan is almost completely moved in & Justin's family is coming this weekend to move us out. It's going to be good. Matt will begin moving in soon too. Life is good :)
