1. Where and when did you start RPing?
2000/2001 I guess. In AIM chats before I completely understood the concept of roleplaying. And then I did some roleplaying at the Dragonball Angels Message Board (part of a Goten Shrine) with an OC. Then there was Kokoro. And more forums. And Gaia. And Avidgamers. And eventually LJ.
2. Do you RP anywhere other than LJ?
Nope, not anymore.
3. Do you play in any public games?
memento_eden, ad_libitum_rpg, theskytides and paixaorpg
4. Do you prefer first-person comment spam or prose logging?
I like both, and I think it depends on the situation. Comments are nice when you don't want to get too involved in something or don't feel like typing up (or reading) huge paragraphs. They're also good for things that are lulzy. But I also like logs - you can bring more people in at once, and it's good for important scenes and parties and stuff like that. So both! Absolutely! /o/
5. What was the first character you ever played?
Um... *scratches head* Ellana (my Dragonball OC) is probably the first one I'm actually willing to acknowledge. The rest were, like I said, before I really understood the concept and my characterization was embarrassingly bad. I'd be ashamed to look back now. XD But if you must, Princess Ayeka from Tenchi Muyo! (whom a small part of me would still like to app and play RIGHT).
6. Who's your favorite character to play now and why?
...Tear. Do you want an answer in under a paragraph? Uh. Uh. She's pretty and kick-butt and not the usual damsel-in-distress "Tales of" heroine stereotype, although she does have her moments of distress (complete with FLUFF), and she has a top secret cute side and all that, and I feel bad for her, and she gets to witness a spoiled jerkwad magically turning into a heroic emo bucket, and OMG writers bring her boyfriend traveling companion back now plz. AND SHE SINGS. :/
7. What's the longest you've ever consistently played one character?
Ryou Shirogane (Tokyo Mew Mew) for about five years.
8. What's your biggest RP pet peeve?
...when people reserve a character (optionally more than once) and never send in an application. Or. When people write up a huge application, get accepted, (and optionally friend add everyone) and then never show up or post anything. At all. Ever.
9. Do you read RP secrets and the RP anon meme?
I have a few times, but I try to avoid them because they just make me paranoid. XD
10. If you've played in public before, do you prefer community based or journal based games?
Journal based. I mean, I like logs just fine, but if there isn't an option for posting in character journals I go crazy. Journal entries help me get into my character's head and explain why my character is doing what he/she is doing. I think it's more personal, and character journals are lots of fun to read.
11. Would you rather play with someone who's very very IC but a mediocre writer or someone who isn't always IC (but not terrible) and a great writer?
That's a tough question... but I think I'd rather go with the great writer.
12. Do you have a "RP partner"?
I have one person I'm roleplaying out two pairings with and I have two(? is that all?) people that I play with in multiple games. But I try to roleplay with everyone that I can.
13. Do you ever stalk any casts, games, or players? Who?
Not usually, unless it's a game I'm thinking about joining myself, or if a friend spams me with a thread from another game they're in. Or sometimes if I interact with a character on dear_mun who is really good. I'll sometimes check out other characters played by my friends, too.
14. In your opinion, which part of an app is the most difficult/annoying?
History takes the longest, but the hardest part for me is always the sample entries. XD
15. Are you one of those people who has to customize their character's journal layout and userinfo?
Lol. I try to, but I'm lazy. If I start customizing at all, assume it's a character I like very much.
16. What was your first game?
Kokoro. And my first LJ RP was Memento Eden.
17. Are there any canons you avoid tagging characters from?
I don't think so.
18. Most memorable scene in any thread?
*scratches head for a few hours*
For ME: Well, Tear's actually had a lot of fun threads what with being forced into slave labor and turned into a cat and all that. I also enjoyed the whole Santa!Lloyd thing. I can't pick just one scene I'm sorry; too many good ones.
For AL: During the "Rescue Asch" thread where Norma makes a comment about her chest and Tear starts yelling at her despite Ion being RIGHT THERE and the mission being IMPORTANT. I also omgheartoyako.
FOR TST: That convo between Shinjiro and Akihiko in Luke's journal was fun. Also Luke wasting all of Toph's printer paper by complete accident.
19. Do you RP sex?
No.
20. Do you play more males or females?
*thinks* It's about even if you count my multiple Tears as separate people. Otherwise, I guess I have a preference towards playing males, and this is because there aren't a huge number of female characters that I find interesting.
21. What won't you RP?
Uh... sex. And really bad crack (except on April Fools Day). And I don't like anything too dark or distressing. The voices in my head are my children. I try to take care of them. (Don't laugh, I'm being halfway serious! XD)
22. Dressing rooms: yes or no?
I'm not a huge fan of them, because they tend to get really cracky, but I have roleplayed in them before. Then again, I suppose dear_mun sort of counts, doesn't it? That's the only one I'm semi-active at.
23. Ever RPed a pairing?
Several, yes. The longest was Ryou x Ichigo. *sniffsniff nostalgia*
24. Favorite place to play: musebox, open posts, public games, private games?
Public games.
25. Talking RP with someone else who plays your character: fun or awkward?
Er... I'm kind of competitive so in most cases (there are some exceptions) it's either awkward or I start second-guessing my characterization and think I suck. XD
