In other news, my hand's bothering me a little bit again, and I'm wondering why most final episodes feel like they're lacking... something? I can only think of about 2-3 final episodes for anything that I felt were *really, really good*. But I do need to compile a list of stuff that makes me cry. For my own amusement.

Also, I've got a weird/random question. Does anyone ever have like... animated dreams? Like your brain makes up a random episode of your favorite cartoon or something? See, that never happens with me.

I basically never have anime/game dreams. The closest I've gotten is having animated characters with me in the real world (Alto, I think, and a long, long time ago when I was little there was a My Little Pony-- IDK which one, and the villain from Gummi Bears. I'm serious. We were running away from him. Through the hallway/fellowship hall of my church.) - and this is extremely rare. More likely, if I have anime on the brain, I'll dream about going to a convention, or maybe there will be a real person who looks a lot like or is supposed to "be" X_character. I find this sort of strange, seeing how much I like the medium. I usually don't even remember what I dream about, but I will share the ridiculousness of the past two nights. For lulz. Because I think these are my first "Tales of"-related dreams ever? That I can remember, anyway.

Sunday night I dreamed there was a Lloyd cosplayer who was apparently teaching a class or panel and he had this blue blobby thing in his arms that he was pretending was a whale. Yes. Lloyd cosplayer was teaching people about cetaceans. They don't even HAVE whales in Symphonia do they? Do they? I am tempted to turn this into a joke. (I think this is some byproduct of me watching that steampunk anime slideshow from a convention. Lloyd, easy enough. No idea about the whales. Sky whales? Dunno.)

Okay then, last night. Me and some (presumably) "classmates" were putting on plays in my garage for a grade(?). Yes, plays. In the dirty, not well-lit, kinda cramped garages. (IDK, plays = Skip Beat? Roleplaying?) And we were cosplaying characters from Abyss. I guess I was Tear, and there was presumably a Luke (played by a chick, I think) and some other non-distinguishable characters that I assume were Jade and co. For some reason I could not think of any of Tear's game lines in order to act out any scene intelligibly that was one I was willing to act out. (This would never happen. Forget my stage fright. I could totally wing it. Totally.) And I think I didn't want to do the ending because of much drama and spoilers (which is like the only scene I know word-for-word besides Tear breaking into the manor; how unfortunate). So the other group members came up with something dumb and cracky and I was just standing there like "Derrr... what do I do now...? This isn't in the game at all." Lame. Lame dream!Cherry is lame.

But I have furlough tomorrow. /o/ I am going to work on stuff and start my rewatch of "Spice and Wolf". And "Fushigi Yuugi". But Spicy Wolf is nice and short, so.

And I finally made some slight progress on the "what do I do with my life now that I'm out of school" question. I have decided that even if my goals and dreams are farfetched or seem silly or seem unreachable, it's still possible for me to achieve them. I know lots of people want to "create their own manga/anime". I know most of them probably won't. I know there are lots of people with better ideas, that can draw better than I can, that know more about comic layouts, and how to use screen tones, and have the knack for meeting deadlines, and the patience for making everything look fantastic. But it's not entirely impossible for me. No, perhaps I won't ever create a real comic, but there are people out there who publish their own. Really, I can draw what I want to draw. If I want to draw anime-style, I can. If I want to draw animals, I can. Landscapes? Sure. There are lots of ways to connect to other people, lots of ways to find sources of inspiration. I think the real question is what I hope to accomplish by drawing. Who I want to reach, why, for what purpose... What exactly is it that I want to "say"? I have been through so many different things that I *thought* I wanted to do. In the end, art was always the thing I defaulted back to, and in the end, it was the thing that felt right. So why is it that I quit drawing in the first place?

spice and wolf, fushigi yuugi, art, drawing, endings, art block get out nao, anime marathoning, meme
