Some bad news, and some good news...

I've been down recently due to the Virginia Tech shootings. When I first heard about it, only one person had died, and it was assumed it was a domestic shooting. I deciede to turn off the news and watch a few hours of House. Later that day, I turn CNN back on, and over 30 people had died, but they did not know who the killer was. I was in shock. I couldn't believe something like that could happen. My next feelings are summed up in this comment I left on indefatigable42's journal:

I've been thinking about this as well. The truely disturbing thing about this is that these victims died for no reason. They woke up, unprepared for what would happen. This horrible killer had no right to do this to undeserving people. It sickens me to think people can just do this! This kind of thing could happen to anybody, anywhere. It's scary to think that the next day, you could be dead because of something like this.

I was feeling sad and angry. No one has any right to decide someone else's death! No one has any right to control anybody's life like that! I've been less pissed-off about it lately because of seeing all of the support the students and faculty of VT have for their fallen classmates and students. I hope that veryone will stand by VT as they go through this tragedy.

1863_project and I are embarking on a new comic. I've given up on my old one-as pointed out in a previous journal entry, I was having problems with writing, and Steph was plannign on helping me. We've already got the basic idea, and a few characters. I'm carrying over my characters Koi and Noeru, because they were my favorite, and I don't want to let them go. They will become protagonists, as well as a new character, named Hugh Anderson (I'm sure you all know where that name comes from-hint, two of my favorite shows are House and AC360). We also have a side character named Lulu Rathbon, who is based off of Aya Matsuura. Her name comes from the GAM song Lu Lu Lu, and an actor from old Sherlock Holmes movies, Basil Rathbone. Her boyfriend is named Mickey Gunn, after Miki Fujimoto, the other member of GAM. Hugh manages Koi and Noeru's band, the Fat Flamigoes, and Lulu and Mickey are in the band Zenobia. It takes place in NYC, since that is the greatest place in the USA :P More on this can be found in this entry in Steph's journal.

Yesterday, I participated in The Day of Silence, which is a day where you don't talk as a protest for the discrimination faced by gays and lesbians. Many GLBT people feel they cannot express their sexuality in fear that they will be called bad names. Our silence is represnetative of their silenced self-expression. It was hard, but I got through the day.

Tuesday's House was very slashy...hehehe. I was almost expecting Wilson to come back through the clinic door, hand House a ticket, and say, "I want to see you naked!" XD But then I realized that my fangirl mind doesn't write House...which is a good thing! But there was also a lot of Chase/Cameron and House/Cuddy (if you tilted your head to make it look like House was pushing Cuddy away because he wanted to be miserable), which I also like. Cameron, why must you be so mean to Chase? XD

Well, I'll post later!...much later...
