First off, OMG YOU GAIZ!! TIMMY LINCECUM!!!
Yeah, I know he's a SF Giant (as opposed to my beloved NY Giants) and I could care less about that team really, and he beat out my Johan, but I love this boy. He looks like a twelve year old emo boy, but he pitches like a damn monster. And that press conference? With the "Woo-hoo!"? Are we sure he's twenty-four? He doesn't seem legal...xD But he totally deserved the Cy Young considering that has pitched like a freak on a team that sucked. Okay, Johan did too sorta, but the Giants actually sucked all the time, not just in the last two weeks of the season. But I think the Mets (excluding Johan, of course, and doubling for the bullpen) sucked more in the last two weeks than the Giants did the entire season. Except for Barry Zito, actually. He's just the definition of failboat. (By the way, I have to add to my "You Know You're Too Obsessed with the Disney Channel When..." list here- I was watching 'Around the Horn'- yeah, I know, but watching Woody Paige and Jay Mariotti yell at each other is funny and makes me feel smarter- and Tony Reali called Timmy 'the fourth Jonas Brother', and I yelled out 'No, Frankie is the fourth! Timmy would be the fifth!' Um, yeah...xD)
And of course, Cliff Lee won in the AL, and yay for him as well! I wasn't as excited as I was for Timmy, and it really wasn't much of a contest, but it 's cool to see someone rebound like that. The only thing that shocked me was that Halladay was second and K-Rod was third. I thought it would be the other way around. But I still think both of them deserved it, so congrats to them as well :)

I just got the deluxe fan edition of Sugarland's most recent album "Love on the Inside", and I love it! I saw it at Best Buy a few weeks ago, but stupidly didn't buy it. And I was thinking how much I regretted that since I saw their amazing performance at the CMAs the other night, so when I was at Barnes and Nobles today, I decided to check for it, and I they had a copy! Before I found the special edition, I was debating between that, Brad Paisley's new album, or a Taylor Swift CD (since I don't have the first one oddly enough, even though I love her), but when I saw they had the special one, I was "OMG MUST BUY!!!" But yeah, it's amazing- the yhave a acoustic-folk-pop-country thing going on- it's not straight up country, but it doesn't really fir into one of the other sub genres either. And Jennifer and Kristian are awesome themselves- Jennifer's just this normal person, but kinda of a huge dork (if you don't believe me, watch the "All I Want To Do" video), and Kristian's a little cooler, but still kind of a dork, because you couldn't not be and be in a band with Jennifer Nettles. She's just like that. Oh my G'd, do I love her...xD
And the CMA Awards were awesome! I'm a little obsessed with Brad Paisley- it was him who got me into country in the first place- so seeing him host the first CMAs I've ever watched is kinda coming full circle for me. He did a really good job at hosting- he's really funny, but also sincere. And his performance with Keith Urban was amazing! They really are the two best guitarists in country music currently, and two of the best in contemporary music. And I kinda want Brad/Keith fan fiction I mean what?! But seriously, the only country music fan fiction out there is either about Rascal Flatts, whose music I hate, or Keith Urban Mary-Sue fic. And although Brad is ~*~perfect~*~, he is no Mary-Sue. I'd totally read other pairings too- Brad and his wife Kim, Taylor Swift/Kellie Pickler, Jennifer Nettles/Kristian Bush...so, there should be more country music fic!
Um, anyways, back to the CMAs. Carrie Underwood also did a good job hosting- for a girl with such a big voice, she seems a little shy, but really sweet. But the best part was her performance of "Just A Dream." I'm not a big Carrie fan, but I love this song, and her simple, emotional performance of it was the highlight of the night. Compare this to the night's most lavish performance, Taylor Swift doing "Love Story", which was also its worst. I love Taylor and I love this song, but she was clearly sick and the grand set and costumes didn't help. One problem I had was the whole concept- I thought the princess thing worked better in the video, because it was simply a fantasy and she's still Taylor. In the performance, that's never shown and we're left to assume she's playing a character, which would go against her whole 'straight-forward, relatable normal girl' person. Of course, the worst part of the performance was Miley Cyrus's pedo boyfriend returning from the video her illness-ridden voice, but even if she was healthy and sang well, it still would've been a lousy performance. Then again, I have a tendency to compare all of her television performances to "Should've Said No" at the ACM Awards, so it's really not fair, because I love that performance to death.

As most people know (I think), I'm obsessed with the David Wright/Jose Reyes pairing. And it's still my RPF OTP. But after seeing this, I really like the David Wright/David Cook pairing. expatiates wrote a great fic for this pairing here, so it seems it's catching on. It's really weird breaking up one of my OTPs like that, but I can't help it! They are so cute together, especially in the pictures with Cook teaching Wright how to play the drums (OMG they're holding hands! xD), and in the video where they put guyliner on Wright (which oddly looks kinda hot on him). And this single-handedly got me interested in David Cook! I decided to check out his new song "Lights On" today because of this, and I really like it! :)
