...Aaaaaaand I'm back!

Hey! I just came back from my vacation last night, and I figured I should update my LJ...

1. The beach was amazing! There were a few cloudy days, but I just used those to go to stores that were only open during the day. The water was really nice too! I didn't go swimming much last year, but the water felt so good! Not too cold, not too warm, not too crowded. And sitting on a chair at the water's edge reading a really good book=win.

2. I still have many books I've bought I still have to read. I blame this all on one woman- JK Rowling. Due to the fever over the new book, I decided to pick up where I left off and started reading Order of the Phoenix. I gave the series up at the release to that book, because it bored me very much. Emo!Harry was really annoying, especially compared to the amazingness of Goblet of Fire (which is one of my favorite books). But I'm halfway through, and I really like it. The plot line about the Ministry is really interesting, and I think I'm in love with Luna. I swear, she is the best character is that book. I could care less about Harry, Ron, or Hermoine-I just want more Luna! My little brother (whose only seen the movie) thinks I'm just like Luna, since I tend to be kinda spacey. Hehe, can't argue with that. I haven't seen the movie yet. I want to finish the book! And I refuse to read spoilers for book seven!! HARRY POTTR IZ SRS BIZNZ!! xD

2. I saw The Devil Wears Prada and Hairspray. My friend Liz came down and we watched her DVD of the first movie. It was really good! I know this wasn't the point, but I ended up feeling really bad for Miranda at the end of the movie. She has all of this problems in her life due to putting her work first, but she has to in order to stay successful. I though she was really interesting, and I could see why Meryl Streep was nominated for all of those awards- she was able to make Miranda really cruel at first, but she seemed like a rather sympathetic character at the end.

Hairspray was really good as well! Obviously, John Travolta is a fat suit AND in drag is very funny, but the whole movie was really good. Nikki Blosky, who played Tracy, was really cute and energetic, as was Amanda Bynes as Penny. And since when was Zac Efron so hot? xD Honestly, I've seen High School Musical many times (I even watched it today), and I alwasy thought he was kinda adorable in a Disney Channel way. But he was very hot as Link. All of those dance moves...and the dark, gelled hair...^^ I wished he still had the dark hair in HSM2. I think I'll still like it, but he doesn't look hot to me in the commercials for that movie. Maybe it was just that one role. But I still have it to cherish...xD

3. If you can't tell from my new icon, I've become obsessed with Scrubs. I've been watching all of the reruns on Comedy Central, and I'm now addicted. My OTP is JD/Turk, but there is no fanfic for them! :( There is so many jokes about them being gay, and no fic? How is that possible? The fandom's mostly JD/Cox, which I don't mind, but I wish there were other pairings! C'mon people, Scrubs has a really well-fleshed out cast, both major and minor, and almost all of the characters interact and are either single or not in good relationships. I'm having trouble finding TurkxCarla and JDxElliot fic even, and those are canon! Grr....I think I will crosspost this to fanficrants.

4. I have to get working of Butterflies and Hurricanes. I've been having some trouble working on it recently. Steph, you need to come over and force me to work on it tomorrow!

5. I actually have a het OTP for pundit fandom! I really want to write Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski. They have really interesting chemistry, with Joe always teasing Mika, and Mika getting angry and doing what she wants. I have a drabble in my head for them, I just need to write it down...

6. Utada Hikaru's new song=love. I can't wait for the new single! I'll review it later, when I have more time. For now, I'll just leave you with the song:
