homecoming
So, it's homecoming weekend. We're playing...drum roll, please...the Naval Academy! We're gonna lose because we don't do football here at Duke, but I don't really care because I'd rather have Mac's team win. :-)
The events for this homecoming weekend include Oktoberfest (where I shall do many a keg stand...not), a Step Show, a dance, and a concert. My Latin prof. asked us what this "homecoming" was about--he said, "I've been here at Duke for four years, but I've yet to understand this American tradition of 'homecoming.'" Love Prof. Parker.
My myth. prof. abandoned us to go vacation in South France. My only objection is that she didn't bring me along.
I finally get to see "Batman Begins" because the student theater is showing it this weekend. Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na BATMAN! I'm in love with Batman--not the various actors who have portrayed him, the character himself: strong, rich, elusive, smart.
I have been invited to "SUPERFRAT." Tom and I are confused as to what a "superfrat" is. If it involves becoming a superhero, by George, I'm in!
