I really don't want to go to lab today, even though I know it won't be that bad, yadda yadda. I am just tired and lazy today.
I love talking to the cafeteria staff because whenever I do they suddenly awaken from their zombie-like trance to smile and respond. It's like the students forget that the workers are human and then I come along and talk to the cafeteria workers and it makes their day.
Blargh. I really do not see how I am going to write this Greek Civ essay. I am getting more and more confused as each day passes. She wants the essay to be in chronological order of the events she gave us. I think I may just take the easy grade on this assignment.
I saw a pretty calico kitty today at the Few quad on West. The kitty was happy and fat. I didn't see chapel cat today (as Tom has dubbed the striped cat that likes to nap outside the Duke Chapel).
Oh, Lauren--I thought of you today in Greek Civ. Apparently some archaeological site in Greece contained a burial of an urn containing a man's ashes and a grave with the body of a Greek woman. The woman (or her remains, as it were) was wearing a solid gold conical bra ala "Like a Virgin" Madonna.
I wonder when the Rolling Stones concert at Duke is. I am definitely planning an adult swim marathon that day as I'm sure the campus will be swarming with Stones fans. I still can't believe my mom was about to buy tickets. Ei!!
Now I am sick. Curse you, cafeteria omelet of poison + 9!
