HeartGold and mom :)
HeartGold
Yesterday I got a call from BartSmit that my reserved copy of HeartGold was in and that eventhough today is the release date they would sell it to me. So I went to the store after I got back from Utrecht (more on that later) and got my game. When trying it out in the evening it didn't work. My sister thought maybe it was a safety thing about it only working from the release date so I waited but this morning it still didn't work. Looked it up and they're taking back all the games and postponing the release date >_< So I brought my game back to the store.
When starting up the game it goes to a blue screen which says the safe data could not be created. You don't get the start up movie or professor Elm or anything, just the blue screen with the message.
Really sucks because I'm going to Utrecht again today and was planning to play on the train ~_~
Mom
Mom's in the hospital in Utrecht. She had a prolapse, so she had "cosmetic surgery on the inside" as she calls it. I brought her yesterday, visiting her with my sister today, sis visiting her on Sunday, me going on Monday and she should be coming home on Tuesday.
- Back now. She's feeling much better than last night and the pain is much less currently than she had anticipated. So, she's doing well :)
Mom's surprise
While mom's in the hospital we're decorating! A year ago she got an extension on her house. She hasn't had the energy/time/finances to decorate is and make it live-able. We don't have much money to spare either so we secretly sent a letter to family, friends and other relations to ask for a donation for us to be able to realise our plans. My sister had asked my mom a bit about how she'd like it to be "some day". San went shopping yesterday with a bigger budget than we had thought (luckily because things were more expencive than we had thought too :p). Today we painted everything and tomorrow a guy comes to help put down the laminate floor. San will be gone most of tomorrow. My sister's spending the weekend at her boyfriend's house (unfortunately he's having a birthday party so she couldn't ask him to come here instead, we would have liked her to help more). It's going to be sooo nice and mom will be so surprised when she comes home ^_^
