Alrighty this is how it is gonna go down. I am gonna write up a report on my trip and then at the bottem I will have pictures.
Thursday - Woke up and made sure I had everything together. Waited on Nolen to pick me up. Then headed off to the airport. Flew into Salt Lake City, Utah and had 12 minutes to run all the way across the airport to catch our connecting flight to Vancouver. As we get upto the gate they told us we made ti just in time. they were in the process of giving our seats away to standby passangers. The we fly into Vancouver and have an hour and a half to kill before the shuttle picks us up to drive us the 2 hours to Whistler. We eat at this really good Japanese resteraunt in the Airport. We finally make it to our Hotel and amuze the Aussie check in attendents with our Texasisms. After we check in we go by a ski gear store cuase I relized I left my Ski Goggles at home. This Nice Aussie cowgirl sold me some goggles and enjoyed making fun of me cuase she owned a horse, so she was more of a cowboy than me. The first thing you need to realize is Ski resorts are Run by Aussie's (people from Australia) and Kiwi's (people from New Zealand) becuase there summer is our winter so they come up here over summer break and work at the ski resorts in North America. After purchasing some goggles Nolan and I went to the Dublin Ihn Gate to have a few beers. Then we went back to the room and crashed cuase we had a long ace day of traveling.
Friday - Woke up around noon, got all suited up in my gear and then headed to the mountain. I got half day lift tickets every day I was out there becuase they started at 1pm, so that gave me time to sleep in some, eat some breakfast and then get all dressed up. It was perfect. Well as we headed up the lifts it was snowing and the clouds were really low, you couldn't even see the top of the mountain. Nolen and I didn't feel like Skiing by braile so we only went up 2/3rds of the mountain. Did a couple of runs and then called it a day around 3:30. Then we went down to the outdoor hot tub and heated swimming pool. Relaxed for a couple of hours in the hot tub and and pool, and met some nice people. That is one reason why I like hanging out with Nolen, he is like me in the aspect where we love to just start talking to random strangers, it is the best way to meet new people. After spending several hours relaxing and talking to people we headed up to the room and changed and ate at Ric's Grill in the lobby of the Hotel. After dinner we went up and watched a little TV and then crashed early around 11.
Sat. - Woke up around 10, Went out and had Chicken Schnitzel and hot cocoa for breakfast. Browsed the shops some, then went and got ready to hit the slopes again. Take some pictures of the mountain, and Nolen skiing. I have him take some pictures of me, and of course, I haven't fallen the entire trip yet and when he goes to take some pictures I bite it. Murphy's law. After a day of hitting the white stuff, we go to the hot tub again to soak away the days aches and pains. In the hot tub I end up meeting this really cool guy from Vancouver named Mike. Nolen, him and I end up talking for a while. He then leaves to meet some of his friends and Nolen and I continue to hang out in the tub and pool. I also have the perfect insert foot in to mouth incident. When I was talking to Mike I was asking him if it was true if Canadians also did not really like Quebecians, cuase alot of people from the states aren't big fans of theres. He kinda hedged around whether he liked poeple from quebec or not, so I turn to the people in the hot tub next to me and ask them....turns out they were from quebec.....and the guy was alot bigger than me....needless to so I apologised profusely. After hot tub Action Nolen and I went and grabbed some pizza at the Avalanche Pizzaria. After dinner Nolen went and messed around on his laptop and I went to the lobby Bar. They had a guy playing music there so i grabbed a table by myself and chilled and listened to him. While I was sitting there some people who work there at whistler invited me to sit with them since I was by myself, so i hung out with thema bit, then the left to a club. Then a group of people from LA invited me to sit with them cuase again I was by myself. Talked with them till they left to go to a club, and then i ran into Mike from the hot tub again, bought him a beer and he invited me to sit with his friends. Hung out with them and then ended up traveling off with them to one of the plethora of clubs they have there in Whistler. We went to Moe Joes and shut the place down. Ended up hooking up with this one chick, atleast until her boyfriend came and took her away from me....oops. Got really drunk and had a blast. Stumbled my way back to the hotel and went to sleep.
Sun. - woke up around noon and Nolen had already left and hit the mountain early. As I was heading down to go snowboarding I ran into him coming back up, worn out. So he went upto the room and crashed, while I hit the mountain as hard as I could. Did alot of mid mountain runs, and then right before the lifts stopped I went all the way upto the Peak, over 7000 feet in the air. Took some nice pictures and then headed down. By the time I hit the base I was worn out and tired. Ate Chicken Schnitzel for dinner and then went to take a nap before we hit the hot tub again. Nolen and i ended up sleeping till like midnight woke up watched some tv till 2 and then went back to bed.
Mon. - Woke up and went and booked a snow mobile ride. Ate breakfast at La Brassiere, where there was the most amazingly hot waitress working. Then went shopping for gifts for people. The went back to La Brassiere to have some Iced Tea, cuase the Hot waitress was nice enough to make us fresh Iced tea, becuase they only had sweet tea. Then we went Snow Mobileing which was freaking awesome, but it could have been better. We should have signed up for the Advance group, we went intermediate, and there was this couple there that slowed us down, they just couldn't keep pace. Now we know for next year. we went back to the Hotel loaded up our recycle bin with beer and ice and then went down to the hot tub. Kokanee is a really good beer, and what is even funnier is it tastes better out of the can than the bottle. Ended talking with this really nice doctor from Michagen. It was his birthday so we shared out beer with him. After that we went and Ate Dinner at La Brassiere cuase they told us they have a good Salmon. Yeah it was subpar and the apple pie sucked, and the hot waitress wasn't there anymore so i didn't even have eye candy to keep the night alive. After dinner we went back to the room, packed, watched a little TV and then went to bed cuase we had to get up freaking ealry to catch the shuttle back to the airport.
Tues. - Woke up at 6:30am, headed down and checked out. The headed home.
