Pit Bulls DO NOT train themselves to fight!!! SAY NO to California's "ban Pits" bill!!!!
I originally posted this as a Myspace bulletin with some great images included, but for the sake of blog space, I have only included the text here. This is in response to a California bill that proposes to ban Pit Bulls from the state. FUCK narrowmindedness and unresearched, ineffectual "quick fixes!"

There are a lot of images on here, but they all have one message: PIT BULLS are not EVIL!!! Domesticated animals are just that: domesticated. As such, they are trained to behave as they do. Any domestic animal will repsond to its training and treatment and will develop a personality based on such. When an animal is trained by evil people to fight and be vicious, IT WILL BE. The solution to this problem is NOT to exterminate the dogs that cannot help how they are trained and treated, but to exterminate the PEOPLE that train them in such manners! Pit Bulls, just like all animals, are intelligent and complex animals, and we have no right to stereotype them just because they are a muscular breed that posesses a stamina that has made them the preferred "fighting dog." We have to STOP "solving the problem" with quick, superficial fixes, and start concentrating, no matter how un- politically correct, on the root of the problem: OWNERS. SAY NO TO THIS BILL- taking pets away from families that know how to respect and love them will NOT keep people safe from trained fighting dogs!!!!
