In the words of my sister Nina...
"It started out the night before Ricky was born and Dad had these horrible names. The doctor said they thought it might be a boy but they couldn't tell because he was low and small and they didn't know what to name him because he wasn't born yet.
He tried to name him hunk in chinese for Ricky,some english sounding chinese name that he would have been tortured for for the rest of his life. So me and Susan all hated it and we sat around thinking for new names. He almost got named for one of your mom's lost loves. The first guy she kissed I think. Dad wouldn't go for it. But they weren't sure about the names either way. So I brought out some of my favorite anime names. But I only used the english names because you don't give Japanese names to children who are half-chinese and guatamalan. But your half-sisters are japanese. Not a good thing. XD"
"At the time, one of my favorite characters in the whole wide world was Rick Hunter and Lisa Hayes from Macross Robotech series. I convinced my dad and my sister that these two names were the best two names in the whole wide world. It's so very American! It'll help them fit in! They'll be successful names! And they won't get teased in school! Yeah!
"Because Ricky turned out to be a boy, he turned out to be Ricky. And after I guess the arguement we had at the hospital, dad actually remembered Lisa. I think it's actually the first time our dad ever listened to me about anything. So I got both names. I got both a Ricky AND a Lisa!"
My own reasearched proof. -->

How's that for Irony? Why is it that I find out NOW that I'm named after an anime character? She's been hiding this awesomely cool bit of information from me for years. Does anyone else think it's totally crazy this has happened and that I've turned out the way I have? Art imitating life. XD
But I'll be damned if I end up romantically involved with him....Ewwww....wrong on so many levels....T_T
