I've had enough of this.
To all the Tsubasa fans I've been seeing lately, seeing as my rant is about to be really selfish, I shall now stick to just posting on my LJ and not on any forum or any community.
I've actually been wanting to rant about this for quite some time but I held back cause I felt selfish. But upon realizing that I'm slowly losing interest in Tsubasa and EVEN my lovely pairing Sakura and Syaoran, I have to make this evident.
I'm just so tired of the hate that's been going on among ALL Tsubasa fans. It started off small enough, with those usual KuroFye and SyaoSaku battles. Then came KuroTomo and FyeChii and FyeSaku which sparked a great deal of conflict. Then came in all those STUPID words such as heterophobe and homophobe that really pissed me off. People were getting labeled for what they like, and even though they have their own reasons for liking it and they have no intention of making it canon or anything like that, I watched as they get beaten down by other members. Some of them who are just total idiots for supporting their pairings for the wrong reasons.
Fine, I ignored that. Then came the hate for Syaoran ever since we found out who's the clone and who's the real Syaoran. The hate for Clone Syaoran rose, and I did my best to support Clone Syaoran. For one thing, the hate for Clone Syaoran was baseless and senseless. He doesn't have a heart? He hurt your darling KuroFye? He made Sakura cry? Did anyone ever think that there could be something bigger to that? No. Most of you just hate Clone Syaoran because he's such a Gary Sue in the beginning and now since we have a new R!Syaoran that's more angsty and with more "personality", you decide to HATE C!Syaoran.
The next problem I saw was the hate for the anime. Fine, I understand. But then one person began discussing about the anime, the whole rest of you got pissed off and told that person off. WTH? Look, I know that the anime sucks, but at least give room for people to discuss the anime as regardless, it's still a creation worth talking about. I mean, some of you do discuss fanfictions, doujinshis and all that even though the creator of those did not create the characters and merely the story. So why can't others discuss about the anime? Oh, because it's not from CLAMP? That's still pointless as the last I checked, the forum isn't just to cater those who ONLY read the manga.
And now, I'm just so absolutely pissed cause now you all hate Sakura. Oh noes! Sakura's such a selfish prat now! She took Fye away from his darling Kuro, his one true love! She's so stupid! What is she doing?! Oh noes, she's going to see Fye's past! Why not Kuro? I hate Sakura! She's so spoiling the KuroFye love! And she's hurting poor R!Syaoran!
Listen, people... All of your dumb hate has annoyed me and now I can't even love Sakura and Syaoran the same way. Yeah, call me an idiot for actually going to forums and checking out LJ communities like
clamp_rants where they're BOUND to hate something and all when in the end I'm thinking so selfishly right now. I'm sorry, but I guess I was hoping that the Tsubasa fanbase community would be a lot more grown up and would learn how to handle their hate properly.
I was once scolded for supporting Sakura because I love her a lot and was defending her, and was told off saying she's just a character and not worth getting worked up over. That's just saying we're allowed to hate her because well, she's just a character! So why rant about it? Who cares? They're just a bunch of characters on pen and ink!
I'm so sorry. But I've totally given up on Tsubasa and most of their fanbase. I was seriously thinking that loving Tsubasa would be a great thing and I'd get to meet a lot of fellow Tsubasa fans who would love the manga the same way. But sadly, you all prefer hating each other and what other people like and don't. So no thanks. No more forums and no more communities for me. I'm just staying on for the icons but not for the discussions cause I'm fed up. I'm fed up of defending my favourite characters cause there's just no freedom to like any character except Kurogane and (maybe) Fye.
Yeah, maybe I'm being a prat because I love Sakura a lot as she's more than a character to me. It's just that I know CLAMP has a bigger plan for this series, but so many people are short sighted and would rather hate the characters rather than contemplate that maybe CLAMP will make everything all right somehow. That's why I feel all this hate is baseless. I'm just really sad at all the hate revolving Tsubasa. Really really pissed and sad.
