Greetings and/or salutations! Welcome to another entry in which I will write stuff and some of you might read it. You quiver with anticipation, I see.
It was brought to my attention recently that I wasn't updating much and that made a whole one person sad here I am to do my internet dance for you. You are grateful, no? Don't worry about it. I wouldn't be either.
Haven't updated in a bit here for a variety of reasons, mostly dealing with that glorious stuff I never seem to be done from day to day. Of course, that means work. I am happy to report that editing is going swimmingly but it's a long process and this part of the book is particularly tricky to fix. On one hand, I'm okay with how I wrote it but I'm hoping that this will be okay for whoever might want to publish it. I don't want the end to feel like a cop out. Adding to the time it's taking is the fact that this part of the book contends with a lot of my less than stellar memories, making it an emotional read and therefore difficult to actually objectively edit. Fun stuff indeed. In fact, it makes me tired thinking about it. Blah.
In other news, my bookshelf is finally functional and ready to be finished off! Huzzahs are in order. Well they would be if I didn't decided to paper mache the stupid thing and then paint it up all nice and fancy. This damn thing better last me for a while or I'll be pretty pissed. On the other hand, at least my cook books now have a place to dwell that's not in the various piles around my desk and kitchen and wherever else.
Finally, the garden is doing well, if not for a few bumps along the way. I'm astounded that my foxglove is actually growing but pissed off that my parsely is not coming up. My oregano is doing swimmingly and soon I'll have to transplant my spearmint. It'll be interesting when I try to dry any of these herbs but I'll figure that out soon enough.
And that is the wonderful world of. Join us next time when I end up telling you other things. Or something. Whatevs. Go team Deutschland.
