Season 7: Adventures in Babysitting

This is late, because of computer problems but here none the less.

I'll start off by saying that even after Death's Door ended I knew Bobby was dead. With the way the season was going, from reading spoilers and such it was a very obvious yet very beauitful choice for the show. Stripping Sam and Dean of their normal comforts and defences and leaving them BARE boned this time. No angel to zap in and out, no awesome fatherly Bobby just Sam and Dean against the world.

And with learning from TV.line about Supernatural being a safe bet to get renewed I am fairly confident this season isn't the end of Supernatural and it's story.

Like you all may know I was ok with whether Bobby lived or died. I was strangely at peace with it, I expected I would scream or cry or throw a fit but I was just in awe over the episode and so in love with how it was set up not to be mad or upset.

I was really anxious to see this episode. Like really. Those little montages about the weeks going by with the sad music made me want to hide in a ball and cry.

The Winchesters are not like you and I, meaning they do not grieve like us or a normal human being. From the beginning they were taught to shove it down and not let it get to you, to move on and hang tough because grief and clouded emotions could get you killed on a hunt.

It's been so ingrained in them that even when their Dad died we saw little to no emotion until thery couldn't bottle it up inside anymore.

Jo and Ellen, even Cas now Bobby? See this pattern here? It's not healhty at all, definitely not nor is it an easy way to grieve but it's the only way they know how.

To suck it up, don't let emotions affect you and get revenge for whatever took away your family, friends and caused you this pain.

Ala Dean this season as we can see. He's drinking, not eating right and his sleeping is off. In short Dean is a mess, we saw a glimpse of what his drinking can do to Sam when Dean isn't on top of his A Game but Dean I think at least deserves to be able to break and spiral.

After all he's been through you have to give him props.

I do think that the disappering beer from Dean's bottle is something we should pay attention to and wonder on. Is it to show how much Dean lost control over drinking? Or is it something Supernatural?

Let's see I LOVE Frank for some reason, despite being a crazy paranoid bastard. He's smart and can really be level headed with Dean. I did enjoy the banter back and forth and the glimpse at all the back work for that number.

And can I give HUGE props to missyjack who categorized and organized all the ideas and theories of what that number could be after Death's Door and hit it ON THE MONEY with the coordinates in Wisconson? Like really this girl is amazing, this fandom is SO amazing and this show is amazing.

Admittedly this was a filler but I liked seeing the little glimpses of the puzzle coming together.

I LOVED seeing Krissy because it gave us a unique perspective on Dean a little, you have to wonder how alike they must have been with being raised in this business. Single Dad, Mom died except Dean had Sam to raise and sorta look out for another focus and outlet I only hope to see Krissy again and HOPEFULLY she's not a hunter anymore, and like Sam she can go to Stanford and kick some educational ass. That girl has some fire in her that's for sure.

I found the monsters interesting and really fresh. Liked the idea of it all and the setup of it.

And can I get a WOO HOO for thr hurt!Sam from my fellow limpers Y/Y? I know Chery is a sadist but I liked the tied up hurt!Sammy ^^

My only one compaint and question is that I am DYING to see Lucifer again like dying. I want to see more of Sam's trauma and what he faces with Lucifer everyday. I mean those first few episodes were nice but you can't just do it for maybe 3 episodes then quit and act like things are fine.

I know, I know the season is not over and Mark Pellegrino is probably busy with other things but still. Still waiting for that episode promo where I see Lucifer.

Still kinda pissed though that Dean get's to travel back in time...again but understandly I think Jensen likes roles like this more so than Jared. The Western and now the Chicago mafia type style.

The ending to this killed me because Sammy nodded off to sleep (probably dead beat tired and exhausted) then Dean started smiling and we all knew it was fake but Frank told him to smile because he was alive even if he didn't feel alive inside. It was sad and heartbreaking and guh...show why must you do this too me?!

Till next week and a day later!
