(no subject)
First day of work is over. It went really pretty well. I have a much better idea of what the hell I'm doing...well, sort of. I'm going to be doing a lot of work with the Get Out the Vote campaign, working with various student congresses etc. Spent most of the day compiling contact info for another campaign, familiarizing myself with my territory via internet (on my work laptop...I have a work computer! Now if only I had a desk...it's not necessary since I'll be flitting in and out of the office a lot)and working on recruitment for the DC Summit coming up in March.
Everybody in the office is really cool. Holly, the other campus organizer, seems really sweet and smart, and Kelly (a guy actually) is a riot. JJ, my boss, took us all out to the Mai Village for lunch. Still good food, but the interior of that restaurant is insane now! I have to admit that I kind of miss the old hole in the wall joint.
Other than that, life isn't too bad. Had the last birthing class tonight. We're getting down to the wire now. Eeeek. I'm nervous!
