There is NEVER a comment too long about Fullmetal Alchemist! *insert Armstrong sparkle here*

I understand what you mean about the Philosopher's Stone and Roy. But I feel that Roy has experienced more in his position as a state alchemist who participated in Ishbal and has a different perception of life especially when you compare him to Ed who has never faced the act of killing another individual. Ed was a state alchemist just like Roy but Ed never had to do the things Roy did. Ed wasn't a state alchemist to further his position in the army but more so to research the Philosopher's Stone. In a sense Ed can still keep his hands clean as long as he wills it whereas Roy's hands are already dirtied. Roy knew what he was getting into upon entering the military especially after Ishbal, but he didn't treat life lightly like when they kidnapped Mrs. Bradley and they ensured that there were only wounded soldiers and none that died.

Also, the energy from that stone can never be returned to the original owners (who may also be ex-prisoners, corrupt researchers... not to devalue their lives or anything but do we really want them back? XD;;) Plus what Roy does using the power of that stone, creating relations in the country that he helped demolish, aid in the rebuilding of his own and all that I feel can... not really negate or justify the fact he's using lives but make it not as bad as it seems? idk if any of that makes sense b/c I love Roy and sometimes love makes you say crazy things... like the elements in the periodic table haha

Riza is next to Roy in that final picture and the fact that she's always beside him is really all I need. As long as they're not apart, I can say with more confidence that they're doing something in the background there haha. Plus I'm sure when Grumman retires as Fuhrer he would want his granddaughter to be the next Fuhrer's wife ;D but I'm pretty sure Olivier will put up an epic battle... though I love her at Briggs

I can't even properly express in words just how much this series means to me and how everything played out so beautifully. Honestly this epilogue was more than I could ever hope for in the way it wrapped up but still left things open ended :3

& Sorry about this XD;; Longer reply is longer lol

Roy's hands are already dirtied.
Ah, riiight. I was going to say something along those lines in my comment but felt that I had already rambled too much. XD

idk if any of that makes sense
No, it makes perfect sense! I still get kind of a weird feeling from it, but he *is* using it for a good cause, so that's not... so bad.... right?

like the elements in the periodic table haha
XDDD I see what you did there!
