The things Nathan has to put up with ...

That poor boyfriend of mine. I've been inadvertantly testing the limits of his affection all week. First I announced that the Murder Mystery Halloween Party will take place during a USF football game (it's away in Connecticut and I agreed to have the game on in the background at least). Then my car broke down the night before I had an exclusive invite to spend the morning with CNN's Campbell Brown. So my boyfriend oh-so-sweetly gave me the keys to his car and took the bus to work to ensure that I'd make it to the luncheon. (Which pretty much required him to arrange his day to accommodate the HARTline bus schedules.) Oh yeah, and he had play chauffer and pick me up from work at 1 a.m. last night and drive me to a meeting at 11 this morning. (He offered, but still I felt bad.)

And then I asked if we could infringe on his Saturday tailgating at FAU by making a short detour to Delray Beach for Stitch Rock 2007. It's an indie craft fair, and I'm totally psyched about going (and the boyfriend graciously agreed, stating that even if it's lame we can turn it into a goofy photo shoot and make fun of it all).

Wow, that boy's a trooper.

[Note: Avoid parking in a garage in downtown Tampa at all costs (or at any cost under $10). They'll gouge you like no other. 5 1/2 hours = $12.75. Seriously.]

[Side note to above note: At least I saved $137.25 overall. The parking for the Campbell Brown event may have robbed me, but USF waived the cost of attendance for me, which was $150 a person.]

I'd write more on my Campbell Brown experience (Soo awesome, even if I didn't get to meet her personally!), but you can read all about it in my Oracle article.

PS - I really wanted to name my article "Brown: barefoot, pregnant, but far from the kitchen," but the copy editors wouldn't allow it (and for good reason). Read the article though and you'll see how perfectly fitting it was. Oh man, it still makes me giggle.
