The only good thing that came out of the F4 era.

Featured in many a KTV sessions with friends and family. Brings a tiny drop of tear to my eyes when the mood is right.

6) Phantom of the Opera - All I ask of you
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=838Wfr7gHbQ

Well, it is not the same version as the movie. I remembered watching it with Adelynn ( or was it SQ?!) when I was in Vancouver.

7) Britney Spears - Sometimes
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0bPrt69rag

I like the song J Kind of identify with it…lol.

8) Mack & Mabel - I won’t send roses (Michael Feinstein version)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xXn-RKNrmk

My ex-colleague, Scott, introduced me to off-broadway musicals and burnt me a whole compilation. Love this!

9) The Baker’s Wife Musical

OK, I don’t which song is it in the musical, but it is near the beginning and is an ensemble piece. I first heard it in the musical that was put up by Scott’s theatre company. It’s available on iTunes… but I don’t have anything “i “..

10) Eagles - Love will Keep us Alive
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqTLlHkfSC4

Awwww… warm fuzzy feelings from this. It was in my mp3 player for the longest time…

11) Duran Duran - Come Undone
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mo6iwTRLy94

I enjoy the debauched mood it evokes

12) Don Mclean - Starry starry night
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dipFMJckZOM

I like the quiet mood of the song.

13) Candy Lo - 好心分手
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERXA8FlnlZ0

think it was from early twenties, when I thought this song was quite appropriate for a certain situation.

14) 张震嶽 - 分手吧
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qn7FC9w1uGc

Reason as above :)

15) 动力火车 - 我吃得起苦
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYIrpZIdp9Q&feature=related

My go-to theme song when things get difficult and hard to bear. Love the TV series also. The hardy characters that were our ancestors that were so inspiring. Makes me have faith that we can be strong too since we come from such sturdy stock.

16) Beyond - 海阔天空
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iA_qIycirRA

It’s about persevering in your pursuits and dreams. It’s about not being tied down.

17) Jay Chou(周杰伦) - 以父之名
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55sziK64slM

A very “ cinematic” song that  I love. The mesh of elements are very well done.

18) Eminem - Superman
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nADdmLe-xVs&feature=related

Addictive rhythm and bravado. It was also in my mp3 player for the longest time. Apparently, someone had thought it was attractive that I listen to Eminem… go figure!

19) Annie Lennox - Why
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lH_5NSNYtoM&feature=related

Well, I first heard this on “ So You Think You Can Dance” which was how I get to know more songs during my 20s… Was attracted to it because of the dance, but now I just like it.

20) Chantal Kreviazuk - Green Apples
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtPZrRIx8zI

When I was in Canada, I was introduced to it in a songfic ( song-based fanfiction of the Buffy verse). On paper( or screen), it looked like a yummy song. I am not that much into “indie-ish” singers… but she sounded nice
