It is with great pleasure that I announce this
upcoming concert. The last time Ann Heymann
played here was at the Mondavi Center with the
Irish super-group "Altan".

From ancient chant & ceol mor to dance music &
ballads, internationally-acclaimed performing and
recording artists Ann & Charlie Heymann bring the
magical sound of the ancient Gaelic harp to
modern ears.

The world's foremost performer on the cláirseach,
the ancient harp of Ireland & Scotland, Ann has
been called "the pioneer who returned the Gaelic
harp to a living tradition." Her harp, strung in
gold, silver & brass, is a replica of Ireland's
famous Trinity College harp. Ann's husband,
Charlie, plays cittern, button accordion &
guitar, and sings in Gaelic and English.

Together they have performed throughout the
world, including appearances at the Queenscliff
Arts Festival & the International Folk Festival
in Australia; the Bank of Ireland Arts Centre,
University College Galway and the Galway Arts
Centre in Ireland; The International Edinburgh
Festival & Sabhal Mòr Ostaig in Scotland; and the
Milwaukee Irish Festival and Boston College's
Celtic Harp Festival in th U.S.

Like monks in an abbey, the Heymanns seclude
themselves in the farm town of Winthrop, MN to
unearth and study long-lost pieces for the
cláirseach or Gaelic harp. Like educators, they
share the knowledge they've gleaned both far and
wide.

Join us for an evening of Irish & Scottish music, song & dance
with Clairseach and with dancers from O'Sullivan's Dance Academy!
