I went in the other night to talk to vern about what was up with the pickle not doing shows there anymore. Well from what Eric told me Vern doesn't work there anymore for some reasons that either happened or didn't not going to go into them. Fact is the place is nothing but hear say when you get information even from some people that work there, but since there was no one to bar tend the show wasn't going to happen. I guess Jed had phoned in to say that he would work for them so they could just have the show but last time I talked to him he hadn't heard anything. So who knows what the real story is, fact is they aren't doing to good on bringin money in on the weekends right now, just like every other bar in the area, they even cut Saturday night for Jed or I to come in and DJ they have been doing so bad, so I even lost two dates this month for work.
As for another venue in the area, I have no idea what you guys could do to host shows. The consistent places that shows are put on change for this area drastically because there is no way that the Legion, VFW, or even a Church are going to let a show get put on due to the people in this area. Best suggestion I have right now would be the Elk's on 415 going to Avoca. I think Graham said that he went there a year ago to check it out but it was to new or nice I can't remember. Other one might be trying to get Just one more again. Shitty place I know, but it is closed down and its not like you would have to worry about underage drinking there since I doubt they even have a liquor licenses..

I saw Jay King last night at work and he told me about the thing with Vern. Kinda sucks. So we have no venue and I'm extremely disappointed to say the least. I'm sick of people who ruin things for everyone else. I might try the Union Hall again...they had one show there for a benefit I remember. If they can let 12 year olds in there to dance (and trip on acid), I don't see why we can't have a show. If just one more is closed down how would we have shows there? shit blows.

i was gonna say just one more because shows were awesome there but i didn't know they closed down. that really sucks. what about one of the cafes on liberty street? didn't they have a show there once or twice before?
