Back from my absence ~
Sometimes I feel fatigue by having an ~internet presence~ so I disappear from the face of the earth. But yeah, back now!
Through ~illicit~ means I was able to find a DVD quality download of the Winnie the Pooh movie that came out last week. It was the most enjoyable movie I've seen this summer. It was sweet and charming and a lot of things clicked with me. The things that didn't (like some of the voices) did not bother me too much. This review sums up a lot of my feelings
I've been barely keeping up with my football news. I watched the Women's World Cup (heartbreak: Canada) and I was utterly ecstatic by Japan's win - they were the team I was rooting for after we failed to go pass the group stage. That final was amazing to watch. It was fun, but I was mostly tense since I wanted Japan to win so badly. So good for them. (Dear Canada. I hope you get yourself together, get a new coach by the end of the summer and do well at the Olympics next year.)
Clubwise:
I really need to catch up on things. So many new faces. They're great to see at Real Madrid - I'm downloading some of the games that I missed - and it's great to hear that their pre-season is doing well.

THEY'RE BORING AS FUCK BUT WHO CARES! AFTER SOME OF THE DISASTERS I'VE SEEN FOR THIS SEASON THEY'RE PERFECT. EXCEPT THE YELLOW. WHY YELLOW? AT LEAST BRING BACK THE RED >:/
I barely recognize Fiorentina: it's really daunting. I SAY DAUNTING BECAUSE IT'S REALLY HARD TO KEEP TRACK OF HOW WELL THEY'RE DOING. I'm very limited to when it comes to reading material and all that. So many departures and the new people. There will probably be more departures and new people can we haz a central midfielder nao?

During my month of not-football I fell heavily back into the Transformer fandom. I blame this on the new movie, Dark of the Moon and me watching the newest animated series, Transformers: Prime. I fucking love this fandom and it's mythos. You only have to glance at the TFwiki to realize how grand it all is. Also, that wiki is one of the most amusing times wasters ever. I'm just linking to the G1 Wheelie article to show how amusing and delightful it can be.
The live action movies has to be one of my biggest guilty pleasures. I admit I've watched the 2007 movies many times, and would've watched it many more times but I lost my physical copy. I also completely acknowledge the are not good movies, but they have their moments of charm. In the 2007 movie I have to say the Arrival to Earth scene is my favourite moment in the live action movie. it screamed epic and I was hooked. I wasn't even a fan but I was filled with giddy watching that and I love that track. The fandom was also a delight and I revealed in the creativity and excellent writing. The subsequent movies may have been lacking in many ways but the fandom is just glorious. Tangent: writing that I love in the movie-verse. I have no idea if it was purposeful or not, but Dwimordene's Indefinite Objects and Strange Creatures are wonderfully complementary and a wonderful read. They based on the first movie and they're just excellent philosophical pieces and the more memorable things that I've read.
This lead to learn more about Generation 1 (G1). Which I grew amazingly fond of as well. It was the first TF series and its canon just influences everything in the future franchises. Knowing the lore definitely adds a dimension to other canons and the fandom. I was also a huge fan of the Transformers: Animated franchise. The writing in the show was incredible - so much more fun than the movie - AND I REALLY HOPE WE GET A FOURTH SEASON IN THE COMICS. I'm also enjoying TF: Prime. I admit I enjoy it less than TF: Animated but it's satisfying in it's own ways.
I had more to my transformers related rambling, but I'm tired. So here's a meta on How Transformers Have Sex It's like a staple to the fandom :3
