... Huh. It's been a whole year since I've been here. It doesn't really feel that long until I really think about it.

It's just funny to think about with all the reminders of home appearing. Don't you think?

[Taichi's going to approach the swing set and lean against one of the bars supporting it. He heard her over the journals, but why reply when he could just find her?]

You know what's even weirder about it? If you add the time we spent in the Digiworld, we've been away from home even longer.

You're right. I don't even remember how long we were really there for...

Months, I think. Time moved a lot faster there than it did at home...if Izzy were still here, he could probably tell us.

I bet he could. [She gently pumps her legs a little on the swing, but not too much, since she's talking.] It also felt different because we were camping a lot. Here we don't have to worry about that.

It's almost kind of like an extended vacation, huh? We have a good apartment, people cook for us, summer's here...[It's not that great, but he'll still try to talk it up.] Has it really been a year for you?

A really long vacation. When we get home, I hope that we don't go on any more vacations.

Uh huh! I didn't remember when I had come exactly, but Raine figured it out.

I hope so, too. You know Mom and Dad won't take us anywhere when we get home.

Raine's good at that sort of thing. Did you ask her about it yourself?

Hehe, probably not. We never really used to go anywhere anyway.

Uh huh! It came up while we were talking about something else. I had just been thinking about it, so it seemed like a good time to ask.

Usually just to grandma's, and they just saw here the last time we got home.

Raine's a really good person to ask those kinds of questions to. She's been here a long time, and she's really smart anyway. I'm glad she helped.

And they didn't even stay that long either...

I'm glad that she looks out for us.

Only like a day or two. I'm glad they didn't stay long though...it was nice having them home when we found the gateway and I came back that second time with Koromon.

I am too. Sometimes she gets a little overprotective about it, but I know she's got good intentions. She raised her little brother though, so that's part of it, I'm guessing.

If I didn't get sick, it might have been longer... Mom got home a little before you all came back.

Really?

That's true, but that's not your fault you got sick.

Really. There's like...eleven years difference between them? Something like that anyway.

That's a lot of years. Much more than you and me.

Lots and lots more. Raine's always been responsible for Genis, but now Genis is a lot older and he's gone, so she's looking after us. Maybe that's not the real reason, but close enough.

Whatever the reason is, I'm just glad she does.
